I give 4 stars for service because our bartender was lovely. Should have listened to people's reviews. The place is trying too hard, to say the least. Way too expensive for what they offer. The drinks are good! The food is highly mediocre! I don't recommend this place and the mistake we made by not listening to the reviews. Not to mention, I got noodles that specifically indicated three ingredients - Bokchoy, scallion and mushroom which I asked to hold. The dish came out with many other things not described on the menu. Luckily I don't have allergies. The dessert was so old and frozen to long we could barely bite into. Again, the bartender, Gaiana was lovely and made fabulous drinks. Give another place a try!

Ambiance: Beautiful restaurant, loved the vibe Service: Great Food: Very mid, not impressive. The sushi was not good, it was so rice heavy and the fish tasty fishy. I was so sad because this place could be so great. The lobster tempura wasnt what was shown in other reviews- it was all claws no tail. the "wagyu" gyoza was definitely not wagyu, and skip the nigri, it was mainly rice (very thick rice) and not of good quality. The crispy rice yellowtail was probably the best part of the meal however the tuna and salmon ones were almost hard to eat because they just again tasted like bad fish. im hoping with time they will source better quality fish (especially for the price) and then ill give it another shot.

The ambiance is very chic however, the tables are positioned really closed to each other (at least when I visited) it took away from the experience because I could basically touch the people sitting next to me! I enjoyed the drinks- they were tasty and refreshing. The rock shrimp tempura was really amazing! I had initially ordered the Crab Chahan and had to send it back because it was SOO salty. Super disappointing because it looked delicious. To replace I had the "Into the Night" roll which was just ok, nothing I would rave about out quite frankly. Service was a bit slow, albeit it was a Friday night when I visited. Not sure if I would return for food, maybe just for drinks!

THEY NEED TO TAKE FOOD ALLERGIES MORE SERIOUSLY. Giving this place 3 stars because I don't want to bring down their average, but my child had a horrible allergic reaction here. We were very careful and gave our server our "food allergy alert" card to show to the chef - this shows that my son has a serious allergy to eggs, sesame, and nuts. The server came back with it and said all of the appetizers our friend had ordered were safe. When my son ate one Vegetable Shumai, he immediately felt his throat closing up. We rushed him home and he was extremely ill the rest of the night. I am guessing there was egg or sesame in the vegetable shumai but we still don't know what allergen was in there. I just want other customers to be aware that they need to be careful here. We have eaten in many different restaurants using the allergy alert card and this was my son's first and only serious allergic reaction.

I was so excited to give this restaurant a try! I saw it one day when I ate at the Maddox. When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I walked into a beautiful restaurant. We sat, and Tyler was our server, and she was super cool. I started with the edamame, and it was flavorful and had a little spice. It was very good! I then had the udon dish, and it was good, but I wish the vegetables were cooked and that there was more broth, but the flavors were good. For my entrée I got the sea bass and it was very good with the black rice! My friend enjoyed the branzino and it was plated very nicely. We definitely had a good experience all in all!

Had the immense opportunity to dine here, which is connected to the Maddox. The atmosphere definitely gives upscale date, although a family was dining there with young children. Love the decor and open air feel when the windows are open. So the California dreams roll was absolutely delicious! Nice and fresh and smooth flavor. I also had the Udon noodle bowl but found I would've preferred more broth with it. The noodles were a bit thicker than what I'm used to. My entree was the Branzino fish with sweet potato mash. Definitely flavorful although I felt the sweet potato was a bit sweet for my a taste. My friend had the other fish dish (forgot which fish it was) and said it was good. Our waitress was ok. I got the feeling she was new. Didn't really check on us that often to keep us updated on food. A couple of times had to call her over or ask another waitress to get certain things for us. All in all, had a great time and will be returning for those rolls again!

They aren't open until 2am like their hours say on Google. It's 11:23 right now and the doors are locked so we're a bit confused as to what their real hours are.
