The dude who answers the phone is extremely rude for no reason at all. I called to place an order for pickup and got met with a nasty attitude unprovoked, customer service is trash. Management needs to train their employees on how to interact with customers, clearly it’s a problem because I’m not the only person saying this. Won’t be back until new front of the house workers are hired. Sunrise bagels you have to do better

Went here with my family yesterday after church. Felt like these people didn’t even want to serve me. Terrible attitudes on these people behind the counter. Asked them for my toast and they all started pointing at each other not taking my request seriously. Also have a better system with ordering and then paying. I shouldn’t have to explain to the frantic guy who doesn’t let you even get your thoughts together at the register what I already ordered. If you don’t want to deal with people/customers don’t work at a bagel shop. Fake tough guys.

If I could 0 stars, I would! I've been visiting this place for over 17 years. Mostly, because of the neighborhood and intimate setting. Great place to work and bring your family. Tea & coffee has always been good with lots of options for beverages. Menu has a lot of options and fresh juices and smoothies are good. Years ago, there used to be a young women at the countertop that was always pleasant. She has gone since then. There is one particular man that works here that has always been extremely rude and short of patience whenever he takes my order. I usually avoid him if possible. And order from anyone else. They are always polite and friendly. Never get my order wrong. They're part of the reason I still visited from time to time, despite the rude guy. Yet, the last time I visited; the same rude guy took my order. There were only a few people in the store and I was the only one at the counter. I was hesitant to order with him but I figured I would be quick and simple to avoid any confusion. I asked for a Turkey Bacon BLT w/ spinach on rye & xtra Mayo. He wrote down my order and repeated it to me. I went and sat to do some work and waited for my order to be called (as they usually call your order out when it's ready). After awhile I realized an extended period of time had passed and I went to the counter. When he finished my order, he never notified me that it was done. A sandwich was on the countertop and I told the cashier my order and she checked me out. I left, realized I had the wrong order and politely went to notify them. (I figured it must've been a switch with the sandwich). The rude guy got offended brushed me off with his hands and rolled his eyes at me. He tried to say I ordered what he had prepared but it was a completely different sandwich. He wanted to argue as he offered to make the sandwich over in a disgusting tone and manner and I declined and requested a refund. I expressed my concerns for his tone and attitude and the entire staff just blew me off. And tried to justify his behavior. I called back to speak to the owner and they put the same guy on the phone. He completely disregarded me, talked over me and denied what had happened and had no intentions of accountability or respecting me. As an African-American woman, I asked him... had I been a white woman had he treated me in the same manner. Some of the staff is completely racist. The owner laughed & ignored the altercation in the background and completely ignored him being rude to me! it was such a horrible experience!! I had to make a decision to never visit this place again. It's unfortunate that such a good place has such horrible racist people working for them. I guess they don't care about the customers that are of color. They cater to a specific group of people and I've seen the difference. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE EVER AGAIN!

Not sure why the reviews are slow low here. It's a pretty solid bagel which they make from scratch in house. The one thing is their shmeers aren't amazing but still ok.

This place is a rip off. They barely give you any meat with breakfast sandwiches. So I opted to get extra meat. For 2 sandwiches. Almost $6 extra. This is what I was given. This is not the first time. Check your orders before you leave.

Extremely unsanitary. Walked in and the guy behind the counter was on his phone (barely stopped to take my order). Proceeded to get the bagels and make the food without gloves and without washing his hands. Flies on the prepared food in the case. Dirty and will not return.
Absolutely, incredibly delicious. I ordered a Taylor ham with bacon and it was to die for. Everything you need in a bagel breakfast joint. If you’re from out of town I highly recommend going to the spot especially if it’s your first New Jersey bagel experience!

I’d give zero stars if I could. The individual at the counter misheard my order, I didn’t realize and left the shop only to return minutes later asking for the correct order. Two individuals ganged up on me saying I was wrong and they all heard me say a different order. I always order the same thing. They were talking about how annoyed they were with me in Spanish then when a different individual handed me the correct order they too said I was wrong.

A good bagel store with famous rainbow bagels. Kids everywhere flock here to score one on weekend mornings. It isn't the best shop in town or our favorite but the kids can't get enough of the food coloring-heavy rainbows.
