Amazing burger! The burger held up amazingly compared to most takeout burgers, the food stayed hot and the bun didn’t get soggy, the burger patty was cooked perfectly and had tons of flavor. Personal favorite is the Motown Burger. The side options were delicious as well.

First time in awhile that a takeout burger stayed hot, fresh, and didn’t get soggy. Flame grilled gives it a home-barbecued flavor. Western Ave was great, will need to try another signature one next time.

Can't go wrong with Motown Burger. The Western Burger was out of this world. Would recommend this to anyone. You can even get cocktails ToGo. The Down By The Bourye was phenomenal!

We waited 50 minutes for a table for two (despite being told 20-30). We stood at the bar and when finally called, the hostess intended to seat us in the lounge area where the tables are near to the ground and there is an ottoman for a seat. End of Elm is almost always entirely empty at lunch (which is when I've typically gone in the past) and I had always thought the lounge area was an extension of the bar and not part of any service area because it really is not suited for a meal. So, I indicated that I had to discuss it with my husband (who was closing out the bar tab just 15 feet away) because hunching over the lounge table seated on an ottoman might not work for his back. The hostess kindly suggested another table in the lounge that had two small cigar chairs (which were also low to the ground, but at least had backs), but when I returned from the bar with my husband, another couple had been sat at the cigar chair table. Since we were left with only the ottoman option, I asked how long the wait would be for the taller tables and she could not estimate but said it would be a while. So I asked to speak with the manager. I was told that they only had the owner (who we had seen earlier hanging out at the bar). The owner came to the host stand and apologized, but did not offer any accommodation or alternatives except to say "I would offer you a free drink, but I know that you have already been here a while waiting". We had already spent $40 at the bar for two cocktails while we waiting an hour for the 20 minute table. He did not offer a refund, credit, or even cared to look around the dining room for another option--though there were some empty seats. His apology was also insincere--as we left we heard him say to the hostess that we "just wanted to b....(he used a profane word TripAdvisor will not allow me to post)," which was distasteful, inappropriate and rude. We ended up across the street at Town, which had a better scene, attitude, prices and food portions. Town is the better option in the area. Needless to say, we will not be returning to End of Elm, which I only lament because of the rotating artwork. We put up with End of Elm's hefty price tag and tired menu to enjoy that art and to support a local business, but it is the unfortunate behavior of the owner that has turned us away. P.S. At Town we saw the couple that came in to End of Elm right before us who also left End of Elm disgruntled (presumably) for not being timely sat.

I took my friend for a birthday brunch. She loved the lox on toast! Friendly atmosphere and great coffee. We will return.

We had never been to End of Elm before this visit but we ventured there and really enjoyed it. The small plate platform is very well done with tasty food being presented quickly. The beer menu is also quite impressive with lots of fine craft beer choices. We will be back soon!
