Beer Venturers

The Office consistently makes some of the best pub food in Morristown. In addition to their higher end pub grub, they always have a strong draft lineup. Their beer lines are always a decent mix of macro, various regional heavy weights, and several local brewery beers. The crusty garlic bread burger is certainly unique in the town, and it is usually my go-to favorite here. Combine that with a refreshing local beer and you have an awesome, reasonably priced dinner in Morristown. This trip was restaurant week featuring three different sliders and a flight of local beers, so we opted for the special which did not disappoint.

Since our waitress has been ignoring our table, I have plenty of time for a Google review. On initially seating she said she would be right back but decided to tend to other tables with food or drinks. Waited a solid 20 minutes for her to take our order. When it wasn't that busy I'm currently looking at 9 empty tables around usNever once checked back in when food was brought out. Maybe I wanted another beer?Food is awesome if you can look past the terrible service give it a try but I've had better experiences at less established places.

Positive: Was there for the Superbowl and was upstairs with the big TV. Pretty much had the room to ourselves. Dinner and desserts were better than last time: Salmon, Burgers, and Ribs. 3 Cookie ice cream was very good. Negative: Your restaurant is quite over priced and with no alcohol 186.00 not including gratuity compared to other places in the area. Your restaurant was empty primarily because of the cost, not the quality. You really need to have an outside Marketing firm do a deeper market analysis so you are more in line with others for pricing. Summary, without alcohol 100 dollars per person, with alcohol, 150 dollars per person. You are priced out of the market no doubt.

Happy hour menu is a joke. So limited that they just should not even bother. My wife and I both had salads and they were fine. We ordered the peach desert and we both thought that it tasted like Apples which would have been fine if that is what we ordered. We called a manager over and after hearing what we had to say, she strongly said that we were mistaken and that they hadn't had that desert with apples in 6-8 months. There are too many restaurants around for us to attend one who thinks I can't tell apple filling from Peach. If a customer cannot differentiate the fruit in a desert between apples and peaches, perhaps there isn't enough of the filling. So long.

I would not recommend The Office for a large group. Our table was near a very drafty window that blew cold air all night. Our service was very slow and unprofessional. We weren't given enough menus, we had to ask to place our food order, and we had to ask our waitress to check on our food as she stood around talking with other employees. The restaurant was not busy and more attention should definitely have been given to a group of 10+. The dining period took so long we were late to an event afterwards. Would not return or recommend.

Good food location is right iff the green. It gets crowded and a little loud. Plenty if parking in the deck behind. Food is always tasty.

It's a little slice of Americana without the corporate feel in historic downtown Morristown. Everything to see is within walking distance and parking is plentiful.
