Not sure what happened to Yady behind the bar, but the service received by the new bartender last evening was the worst ever for a place as pricey as Barka. She did not greet us for atleast 5 minutes and then it was longer to receive a menu let alone order anything. Food was delicious because she thankfully had nothing to do with that aspect. Our drinks were empty as our dinner arrived and she didn't ask if we wanted another round until we were ready to pay and leave. She was far to busy chatting with two other guests she knew than to provide a service to anyone else. Losing Yady (who was on top of everything) and gaining this girl (who was useless) is bad for the bar and my family & I will not be back to a place we used to visit weekly.

A few weeks ago I went to Barka after a friend’s suggestion. We ordered several appetizers as well as dinner and drinks from an extensive menu. All the food we ordered were delicious, especially the grilled octopus. We loved everything, the food, the ambiance and wonderful and attentive service. I loved it so much I came back two more times with different friends to introduce the restaurant. However, on my last visit I was extremely disappointed with the terrible service. Our waiter took our order and then kept disappearing and we had to ask the other servers and table girls to help us. At one point I had to go towards the kitchen to fetch our waiter who was just on his phone and chatting with the manager. Even the other restaurant patrons who saw what was happening shook their heads and said it was terrible. Our appetizer of oysters didn’t arrive before our entree. It was a complete change from the previous visits. The food were still delicious but the bad service trumped all the good. It was all my guest and I talked about sadly. They did apologize and removed the oysters and our dessert from our bill but I would’ve been willing to pay for all for good service. Again food is great but that evening and that particular server was extremely disappointing.

Amazing food, huge servings, great service and beautiful setting. Grilled artichoke app was fantastic, seafood pasta was incredible with a half lobster put on top. Will definitely go here again!

This was our first time dining at Barka. We were not disappointed. I easily give it 5/5 stars!! Tony was our server and he was fabulous. He was pleasant and very accommodating with all our requests. The cocktails and wine were great. There were 6 of us and we all thoroughly enjoyed our more than substantial apps. The lobster bisque was delicious as were the beet salad, Shephards salad and clams casino. My daughter and DIL shared the Paella for two. It was enough for 4! They loved it. I had grilled lobster which I requested to be removed from the shell and I loved it ! My husband had the delicious Halibut, my son had Ravioli stuffed with lobster and crabmeat and my son in law had the Osso Bucco. We all loved our dinners. This is surely a special occasion restaurant as it is truly fine dining and pricey, but well worth it!! We will be back!!
Excellent restaurant, Great service. The food was amazing. My steak was little overcooked but it was so tasty I ate it anyway. Manager came and apologized offered us a couple of drinks. Overall great experience. Highly recommend

Our “Go To” Restaurant! Leanna, the hostess is always a pleasure! The staff is always pleasure and accommodating, the atmosphere is cozy and elegant and the food is consistently delicious.

The food was top notch and the atmosphere is elegant. However, our server left a lot to be desired. Extremely unattentive throughout the evening and left us waiting nearly 15 minutes to just pay the check! Also, while a bit out of the control of the resturant, some tables were extremely loud which made the dining experience overall unpleasant. It would make a lot more sense to seat smaller parties seperate in a seperate area from larger parties; I could barely hear myself talk.

Pleased with our experience! Did a Thanksgiving meal here with the family. Service was great. Took two rambunctious kids, who actually did wonderfully and were well accepted by the business. Lots of options, great holiday menu.
