They stopped serving indoors at covid and just refused to reopen as a dining room...only take out...even up to now......their history...has been a real Japanese family (not Chinese or Thai run) authentic food and best sushi..but leayw a somewhat snobby stand offish owner. Rumor now is they are closing soon. Our take out entree chirashi tonight was newly revised to only one size but at the former extra large deluxe size price 35 dollars...however, it had way less fish now...a joke really..and they cut the soup and salad that came with it!!. What gives? Sushi and sashimi are delicious here but these are unfair changes. The extra soup that we had to now pay for hardly filled up the small take out cup...and the cold tofu was really tasteless... bland ...(it usually has a special creamy good flavor) So many good memories here. Not a nice way to say thanks and farewell to faithful customers.JS

Time to open back the dining room and give service. Covid excuses are over! Just like “remote working “…….everybody got lazy.

Very good quality sushi! Put favorite for years.

The best and most authentic sushi around where I live. The people here are very nice, and before COVID it was great being able to strike up conversations with the sushi chefs.

This is our favorite Japanese restaurant in the area because it's legit! My family and I have been coming here for over 25 years. It is a small modest place. We no longer live nearby but still make the drive! Our go-to is the chirashi deluxe. Also, it's take out only during the last couple of years due to pandemic.

The food was good with quality. However, it did not match the description on the menu. It said the sashimi and maki platter came with 59 pieces serving 6-8 people. In fact, we only got 49 pieces, which barely fed our family of 4. I know inflation is bad, but if they could provide more accurate information, I would decide whether or not to order it based on the price.

Legit Japanese cuisine. Ask for the omakase (chef's choice of sushi/maki) for the best sushi experience in the area. Take out only for now but worth the drive to pick up.

We love it. Great quality. Best in our area.

Authentic Japanese sushi & sashimi for a la carte (or even chirashi / sushi sashimi dinners — ask for any daily specials!!). I also highly suggest trying the sushi pizza appetizer and OMG roll here.
I’ve been going to Daimatsu for over a decade. I have always been very impressed with the quality of their fish. The atmosphere is great. My friends’ grandmother loves to go there when she visits from Japan.

First time trying Diamatsu and it was delicious! Ordered takeout on a Friday night. It was ready exactly when they said it would be, and the sushi was so fresh. Ordered the sushi pizza (AMAZING!) which was like crispy rice at restaurants in NYC. Also had the Daniel roll (yellowtail, avocado, tobacco, spicy mayo) and salmon sushi. Fish was so fresh and everting was delicious. Will definitely order again.

Everything seems to be fine, but there are some staff that needs to observe but still good customer service!!
