We went to experience the famous burger. I was disappointed in the soggy bun. The onion gravy was delicious but made the bun fall apart and couldn't enjoy the cheese or the meat Maybe a harder roll would be better. The steak tartar was amazing seasoned and the parpadella small plate could eat as a meal. But the carrot cake OMG!! The BEST!! I would eat here again to get a very impressive salad and the carrot cake again!!
We have eaten here many times before and the food has always been fantastic. My husband had the pork chop and it was sub par. The chop itself wasn't the same quality as it has been in the past. And the side dish of the brussel sprouts and fennel was not good. It was just raw chopped and drowning in a too lemony dressing. My dinner was delicious (halibut). It was just disappointing because we've had such good meals there in the past.

This was the first time I went to The Grand Tavern. It's a small, cozy place. The menu changes every day, so there are no menus. I had to go to the website to see what was available to eat that day. I ordered 2 small plates, and my son ordered the lamb. All the food was excellent, prepared fresh. I would definitly go again. Reservations required.

Food and service were outstanding. We had the papardelle, the burger, which I ate with a knife and fork, the halibut and the carrot cake, which was incredibly delicious. 5 stars! Will definitely be back! Recommend reservations.

Delicious as always. We enjoyed the bone marrow starter and each had the burger with gruyere and onion jus - normally when we go we get a couple of entrees to share but this looked so good we just had to get our own! And the carrot cake with cream cheese whip was, of course, to die for.

I love this place. My meal was chicken Milanese- huge and delicious. My husband's pork chop - divine. But the oyster appetizer stole the evening. Great staff, great food make for a wonderful evening.

Hands down our favorite restaurant in the area. The food is top notch and the entire staff is friendly and attentive. Just be sure to make a reservation well in advance as it is no secret that The Grand is a true gem.

Every time I walk out of this place I say “that was the best meal I have ever had”. Every single time. Ambiance is amazing, cocktails are just as good as the food. Only complaint is it can sometimes be a bit loud.

The owners park in the handicap spot and the place looks scary. I think as the names states you need a grand to eat here as the prices are sky high.
The grand tavern is a unique place. They have a menu which changes. I personally like that. It allows me to try different preparations and presentations of food. The wait staff is very friendly and I'm really happy it's in my hometown. One down side is, because it's small, it can get very loud.

Went to the Grand Tavern on a "date night". My former coworker was a burger aficionado and HIGHLY RECOMMENDED we go here for the food and specifically, the burger. Service was great, place is small and cozy but you could see all the locals hanging out at the bar and having a good time. Bar menu was creative! My wife got the Scallops and OMG.........the presentation was spectacular and creative sides that were the base of the dish. I had the burger, of course and it did not disappoint! 8oz, covered in caramelized onions and gruyere cheese that I requested medium rare and it came out perfectly on a light, brioche seeded bun which is my favorite bun for a burger! So juicy and flavorful you did not need any ketchup, pickles, salt or pepper on it. Perfection! Would recommend for the ambiance and the creativity of the drinks and food presentation. We had originally tried to get reservations but they were booked up (3 days in advance!) so plan ahead or, you can take a stab at going early (we went at 4:45pm) and see if there is an availability at the bar or a nice bar top!
It's ALWAYS a wonderful experience at The Grand Tavern and this visit was no exception! We sat at the bar with a view of the open kitchen which was great. The craft cocktails were amazing. My husband had the Dove 4.0 and I had the Love Lockdown and both were really enjoyable. We shared the grilled broccoli, roasted oysters and papardelle small plates and they were all delicious. We then shared the short rib entree and really enjoyed it. The carrot cake was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal!
