Great food and wine. Francis and Mark have been doing it for 30 years and it shows ever time we go there. You don’t find this kind of dedication and experience often.

The steak was mediocre, but priced as if not. But do New Brunswick a favor and go somewhere else (like Clydz!). The thing is, they add 3% to every bill that is paid by card. Which, at these prices, is everyone. So it's basically a sneaky way for the owner to raise prices by 3% but not let it be noticed on the menu unless you're a fine-print person. It's like those resort fees that scummy hotels use to upcharge: It's not the price you see when you buy it, but it's mandatory. When I questioned it, the manager claimed that they needed to do this, and that many restaurants in New Brunswick do. Well, no: at least none that I went to did, and I went to several nice ones. So, do New Brunswick - and the world - a favor and give this place a miss. it's not worth the price in any case, but the whole aftermarket-upcharge thing needs to be discouraged.

I went to SLS several years ago, and was so impressed. But it seems to have gone downhill like it was its job. The steak was tepid ... I'm guessing either the server forgot to pick it up, or else she was pushing something that some other customer didn't want from earlier. Unfriendly staff, too. And expensive. By which I mean that they charge like good steakhouses, which this is not. Wow, even the bread costs. I guess the pour from the bar was pretty good, I'll give that. Go to Clydz instead. Don't go here.

Went here for dinner with a friend. We wanted to treat ourselves to a nice dinner. I tried the wagyu beef on the salt brick and it was so tender and delicious with the garlic butter. The charred asparagus was tender crisp and perfect. The whipped potatoes were like air, so creamy. The marscapone cheesecake was so rich and delicious. Do not miss this restaurant! The staff was friendly and fabulous! And they validate your parking if you park in the Morris street garage! Can’t wait to go back to try their filet mignon!

Went to the Paul Hobbs wine event last night 1/25/2022 and just have to rave about how fabulous it was. The 5 course tasting menu was not only delicious but perfectly paired to the amazing, and wide ranging selection of Paul Hobbs wines. The Wagu Steak on the salt block was the star of the lineup! Although the Blondie with butternut squash ice cream (yes!) was probably my favorite! It was a very interactive and lively time thanks to the warm hosts and Paul Hobbs himself. It was his 30th year wooing us with his wines. Cheers to many many more!

The most flavorable chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. Seriously, this restaurant is incredible. Great service, wonderful food, huge wine list. Owners on site. If you’re in central New Jersey , this is a must visit.

I took my bf here for is birthday as we are both huge steak fans. We decided to skip the apps since we got the biggest steak on the menu, the dry aged tomahawk. The only disagreement my bf and I have is he likes a rare steak and I’m more of a medium rare girl. So here they have Himalayan salt block that they bring to the table super hot so we got the steak rare which was cool red and I was able to heat it up to the temp I like and it made it super delicious and salty. We got fois gras butter and truffle fries, all delicious! We got a few specialty cocktails, all of which were good, but I did feel the service from the bar was a bit slow. All the other service at the table was lovely, both owners came over to talk to us and were mingling with all the tables in the dining room and it was obvious there were many regulars. The steak it’s self was different from what I am used to but not in a bad way. It was light and flavorful and I could eat a lot of it with out it feeling very heavy in my stomach. I don’t know if it beats Peter lugers for my favorite but I think they are both good in their own way. Oh - and definitely get the garlic bread, that was super amazing!
