Came here on a busy day for Friday lunch. The place itself is small and was full at the time, but we were seated fairly quickly in 7 minutes.Unfortunately, we had to wait 10 minutes for our order to be even taken. What made it worse was that there was another table that arrived after us, and the servers took their order first.I ordered two special rolls, while my girlfriend ordered the salmon bento box. The special rolls I ordered (New Milford and Slammin Salmon) were very delicious, and the bento box was solid. One large issue we had however, was that there was a 12 minute gap between my food being served and my girlfriend’s. By the time, she received her food, my empty plates were already taken away.The food at this restaurant was delicious, but unfortunately our experience was affected by the service. I understand that it can be very busy, but maybe more staff needs to be hired to accommodate, or less people in general should be served at a time.

First time at Sushi Story - and it is amazing! I went in for lunch and asked the server for recommendations. After my ginger salad, she brought me Tuna Tataki, which was perfectly prepared and had a touch of smokiness. I couldn’t decide between Seared Salmon Sushi or the River Roll, so I ordered both. It was the best decision ever! The salmon was freshly prepared and melted in my mouth. The Spicy Tuna was delicious and had just a touch of kick, which complimented the richness of the fish. All dishes were fresh, perfectly prepared, and beautifully presented. The service was friendly, helpful, and courteous, by both the server and the chef, who checked on my satisfaction with the meal. The restaurant is small, with seven tables, and has a bustling take-out service. This is one place not to miss!Kid-friendliness: Welcoming to all agesWheelchair accessibility: Small facility, but easy access for people with limited mobility.

Food was fresh and delicious. Service was prompt. The folks that work here are very friendly and generous. They offered us seared tuna which was delicious. We ordered a couple of rolls and again you can taste the freshness of the sushi. We also greatly enjoyed their beef ramen. Beef was tender and tasty and was the broth. Will be back again.

Sushi Story is a gem in every sense of the word. An unassuming nook that let's it's food do all the talking. And boy, does it speak volumes. Each morsel reverberates as loud as any high-end Manhattan sushi bar. A warm and friendly staff, combined with new and exciting rolls, makes each visit as memorable as the last. If you are lucky enough to live by New Milford, you will soon be adding Sushi Story to your weekend routine. And if you are just visiting the area, be sure to treat yourself to some of the best sushi New Jersey has to offer!

My boyfriend and I just ate in here for our 3rd time. We also frequently get take out from here and we love it every time! The rolls and sushi always taste so fresh, and the portions are the best you can get around here! It is also affordable, between the two of us we got two apps, a special roll, and a sushi entre which came out to just under $50, they also offer a complimentary dessert. This place is also BYOB which is nice and adds to the affordability. On top of this, the service is on point! We’ve had the same waitress each time we go and she is so kind, attentive, and knowledgable, I wish I got her name so I could give her a shout out. If you go during peak hours, which is around dinner time on weekends, be prepared to wait around 30-40 mins but I think it is well worth it. This is such a perfect local date night spot so check it out because they do not disappoint!
