This cake was delicious. Moist and creamy. This bakery is in a small shopping center. I The plus is that it has a parking area for the complex. While we were there we picked up a few other treats to try and they did not disappoint. We will be back to taste other items.

My wife got some pastries from this bakery. It was a croissant with a very tasty filling. It was singularly the best baked item I have EVER had anywhere. If this store is not in your neighborhood it is worth the trip from very far away!

My wife and I stopped in and picked up some desserts. They had a lot of variety, and everything seemed so fresh. Everyone was very helpful. The croissants were great and crispy. The carrot cake was also one of the better ones I've had. Overall, it's a great place for dessert, and I highly recommend it.

So I finally made it here to Bakehouse. I was expecting to see baked goods galore before walking in. When I got in, there was a modest display of pastries a bit underwhelming but it was 3:30pm so that could explain the limited number of items available. Of course I had to get something to see what all the rage in the neighborhood was about. We went with your classic chocolate chip and double chocolate cookies. The chocolate chip cookie was good, very typical..no nonsense chocolate chip cookie..a little chewy in the center with crispy edges, not overly sweet, a very standard chocolate chip cookie from a bakery. The double chocolate cookie was a different story..it was a chocolate cookie with a chocolate cream and chocolate chips. This was a chocolate lovers dream but with a grown up taste buds in mind since it wasn't over the top sweet but sweet enough to satisfy that sweet tooth. I am definitely coming back to try their other bake goods but next time I will have to come earlier and maybe post a few pictures before devouring these goodies.

We ordered a customized half sheet chocolate mousse cake to celebrate my son's last home swim meet with the team and Bakehouse made it to perfection. After the meet (we won!) we had over 40 people waiting for the swimmers to come out of the lockers so we could cut the cake, celebrate and go home. Well, the seniors didn't get the memo and we waited, and waited and waited. Some of the spectators were getting restless and I'm sure wondering if they should just go. I wasn't worried though because after more than a year of eating, sharing and gifting this cake to family and friends throughout NY and NJ, I knew I had an ace in my pocket and they wouldn't be disappointed. Sure enough, after finally corralling the seniors and our photos, we served the cake and I watched carefully as the guests took their first bite. Seeing their raised eyebrows, nodding of the head and glowing smile, I knew it was worth their wait. After the expected requests for seconds (of course) and to take a piece home for their family (again of course), soon enough the sheet was gone and even the crumbs didn't have a chance. Thank you Joe Murphy and Bakehouse for making our swim event celebration a memorable one.Out of 5 stars, I give them a 10!!
