Updated review:I previously reviewed 3/5 as average of 4/5, 3/5 ,and 2/5 food items. After the owner's response, I'm changing to a 1/5."Response from the owner a day agoIf you are so disappointed next time go eat somewhere else."Original Review:"Good pastrami reuben, average quesadilla, disappointing casado."Explanation:5/5 = I would eat here every day.4/5 = Very good food3/5 = Average Food2/5 = Below Average1/5 = I couldn't eat itKnowing what I know now, I wouldn't eat this food, hence the 1/5.Originally I commented that a single item out of 3 was disappointing. I was planning to go back to try other things, since I only experienced 5% of the menu and because one of the three things I ate was quite good. Now I will never go back due to the service.I do not review for money. I do not change reviews in exchange for free food / money. My main goal in leaving reviews is because google has a cool map of every place you've reviewed. I like looking back on where I ate on a map for the memories.

Love their quesadillas (the cheese is delish but I also get a special one of chicken with the veggies! So yummy). Only complaint is that I wish they were opened also during the weekends for lunch !

Such a great little neighborhood deli. The food is fresh and the two wonderful woman who run this truly work hard to earn your business. Enjoy it every time!

I had some empanadas at LAD and I can tell you that they were abosolutly the BEST that I have had in this area. No contest. Maria has lots of pride in her work!

Ordered the Casado from the LATIN LUNCH CHOICES with a group of coworkers today and my order (and another Casado order) didn’t have fried sweet plantain, very disappointing, that was the main reason I ordered the Casado - for the plantain :(

Amazing food, lovely owners. They were also very understanding about food allergies. Our family favorite ❤️

This is a hidden gem in New Providence. The food is delicious. Fresh and tasty. Of course the specialties are the Latin dishes (yes even for breakfast!) but they also have standard favorites if you are not feeling so adventurous. Either way you cant beat the flavor or the freshness. One of my favorite spots in New Providence!

Visited my hometown and always try to visit the locally owned non-chain businesses. I grew up in New Providence, and this Deli has seen a few incantations since it was Bergantis in the 80s, and I was pleasantly surprised this time around to grab a meal or two that resembled what I ate way back then. The owners were pleasant and were more than happy to talk about yesteryear, and bc it’s a place my elderly mother often visits, they seemed more like family when they discovered who’s son I was than just s place to grab some food. They’ll be on my must stop in list every time I’m back in town.

This place is legit! Incredible, authentic, latin american street food and deli. Fantastic classic jersey options, and then a separate menu for Latin American versions and options. Solid breakfast and lunch spot. The ladies there are friendly, great service. Even the coffee there is awesome. 5/5 STRONG RECOMMEND. Will return promptly.
