Great place to drink and watch sports such as UFC fights. The drinks are reasonable. The only problem is the food, I ordered chicken wings and the chicken was raw.

Amazing food for a sports bar. The Picodinho was a tremendous surprise. Like someone's mom made it. Lots of football on Sunday too.

If you're looking for a true ports bar in the Ironbound section of Newark, this is the only one available. Friendly bartenders are always there and they have a good food menu along with specials of the day everyday. One of my favorite items here is the Blitz Burger, be forewarned come hungry! Good mix of beers on tap and bottled, plus there is a wide selection of wines too. I would recommend this spot for an avid Football fan on Sundays and any soccer fan trying to catch a good Champions or Europa League game.

Cool Sports Bar. Parking is a bit hard. I came in after a movie to watch the Yankees game, but turns out they didn't have the game. Stayed anyway, it was okay. The food was surprisingly very good. I got a cheese steak and my boyfriend got a skirt steak. We both completely finished our meals. Overall good corner sports bar. Nothing fancy, but good.

The food here is great, the girls and service is also top, along with a varied liquor selection, but i mainly stop in while delivering in the area and get an espresso, it's delicious and roasted locally by my favorite coffee brand, Vilar. I'll be coming back for sure.

I used to frequent this bar alot when it was the former owner. I recently came back with a group of friends to watch the Portugal vs Morocco game during the 2022 world cup. Prior to coming, I called and was told there was no reservations for tables which with the prior owner I already knew was the case and it was first come first served basis. It was a morning game and we were one of the first people to get to the bar and we were approaching the tables to the right and the new owner aggressively told us we were not allowed to sit there. He did not greet us in any fashion or provide an explanation. We did not make a big deal out of it and just sat at the bar. Once more people started coming in, a select few people began being greeted with hugs, hand shakes, and kisses by the owner and seated to the same table we tried to sit at. It was evident that the owner saved all of these tables for his friends and families based off the interaction. They were understaffed and completely not prepared for the amount of people they had there. I was right in front sitting at the bar and it was almost impossible to order food or drinks. Since it was a morning game, I started with a coffee (a portuguese galão) which was served in the smallest coffee cup I've ever seen (it was borderline an expresso cup). I didnt make this into an issue and I just ordered another one once I was finished with it. The bartender was so overwhelmed with so many people trying to get her attention that she spilled all of the hot coffee over me across the bar. Once again I didn't make a big deal out of it. My group of friends ordered drinks and food. One of the foods we ordered was a tosta mista which was not even toasted or melted. I was served a semi warm bread with cold ham and cheese. I don't know how you mess up such a simple food order. Overall, new ownership is terrible and it doesn't suprise me that none of the former bartenders work there anymore. I won't be back and either will any of my group of friends that used to frequent there alot.

Don’t come here during the dayThe drunk bartender favors a small crowd and leaves you high and dry for more than 30 mins……. Foods mediocre …. Typical Newark joint …. Over priced and no good service

We had a long layover at Newark Airport and wanted a place to catch the NFL playoff games, eat, and have a few drinks. It was about a 10 min Uber ride from the airport. Blitz is definitely a locals bar but everyone made us feel welcome but you could tell everyone else there were regulars. They have several televisions so there are many spots to get a good view of the game. My wife called to verify they were open (because we all know Google and even Yelp hours can be wrong) and to make sure they had tables available but she was hung up on. We were already in the Uber so i decided to give it try anyway. The servers and bartender were friendly when we arrived (whew). My biggest complaint is that parking is terrible so Uber if you can. The bar doesn't have a big selection for cocktails and they were out of several items. The beers were cold and the items we ordered were delicious. We had some friends that lived in the surrounding area join us. We had wings, chicken quesadillas, mozzarella sticks, and grilled chicken salad (and several beers and ciders). The wings were fried perfectly (they provided the sauce on the side). All of the chicken in the salad and quesadillas were juicy with excellent flavor. The mozzarella sticks were good but nothing special. I would recommend them if you have a long layover. Pros: Close to the airport ($13 Uber ride)Good foodA lot of TVs for a bar of its size Local's BarCons:Parking sucks The area is urban so some travelers may not feel comfortable.Local's Bar

Very DISRESPECTFUL PERSON who just answered the phone at 3:38pm today. I legit just called and was very polite when the women answered the phone. I was asking if they were looking for bartenders at the moment. And she just hung up. Then when I called back she didn’t answer the phone. HOW RUDE. If this is how you run your establishment I wouldn’t wanna work here anyway and I MOST DEFINITELY won’t be coming here for enjoyment ‼️
