What a gem in Newark Airport. A gates are mostly mediocre chain restaurants. Carlito is making scratch tortillas, super fresh toppings and salsas and delicious smoked meats. A nice Mexican beer too, with hint of cinnamon and pineapple. Friendly staff to boot.
Excellent carne asada taco with tortillas made right in front of you. I wish I’d held off on eating before getting to the end of the terminal, because this is really good food and worthy of a full meal.

Honestly I was a little skeptical about tacos in Jersey, being from the west coast myself, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. These were delicious. The neat was seasoned, the salsa had nice bit if heat, all around great and flavorful, not just as a "taco from Jersey", or "for an airport taco", it was just plain delicious. They didn't skimp on the meat either.
