This has been the best food ? I’ve had since my Grandma passed Chef Lounge has even patched my brother relationship back together nd has gotten me off child support im in love with the salmon ? Rasta pasta ? nd I didn’t like salmon until I had it here me nd my family has been driving from Plainfield to Newark for food Alhumdulillah!!! For finally being able to enjoy some real food

First time eating here: glad I decided to give them a try! Catfish was great. Collard greens very tasty. Good cornbread. Mac and cheese was ok - I prolly got the last bit, as they were right near closing time. Good portions for the price as well, and even got my toddler to chow down. Will definitely be back - next on my to-do list is them oxtails. I would’ve taken pics of the food for this review, but we were hungry… ?

Went here today and let me say the fried fish, salmon, mac n cheese, yams and greens was the BOMB. Also I had the blue crabs those were delicious too. I'll be back soon!!

Ordered the stuffed salmon and got the worst version in existence. Dry, stuffing wasn’t real stuffing, you can tell that they’re skimping on ingredients and quality to save money, but are charging high prices for subpar food. I usually don’t write reviews, but this was just disappointing. I should’ve known since they didn’t take the time to update their menu on UE. The sides are the best thing going. If the other food is better, then this dish should be taken off the menu if they’re not going to prepare it right. It’s sad because you can tell when someone isn’t on top of their business or has stopped caring about quality and customers. Won’t be supporting them again.

My food was disgusting. My “smothered” turkey chops were fried and dry with no gravy, Mac and cheese was wet and not fully baked, the yams tasted like lemon, and the string beans were cold and raw. Thoroughly disappointed and won’t be back.
