The atmosphere is nice, the food is delicious, but sometimes it arrives warm on the table. They don't always bring a dish and depending on what you order, it's difficult to cut meat, for example. The drinks are great. As for the service...the waiter seems like he's doing you a favor. It takes a loooong time to come to the table...no eye contact, if you're in a hurry you have to get up to look for the waiter, because he disappears...empty restaurant, there's no excuse for taking so long, even if on a Saturday there was only one waiter working, it was empty. Before I used to go often, now I'm discouraged from going... the only lively day is Sunday, this is for those who like EXTREMELY loud music! The samba/pagode is good.

The staff must have been having an off night or something when we were here. Decided to try it out because the food and reviews looked good but our experience was the opposite. Our server took a looooooong time to come over to us when we sat down, took our drink and food order, came back with one drink instead of two and forgot our waters we ordered, and when the food came out it was not hot. The Mac n cheese we ordered was cold cold and we asked to have it reheated. Mind you we were there on a Monday night and aside from one 10 top table, the place was completely empty. There’s no reason anything should have been forgotten or served cold. I am a waitress myself and I can tell the server we had just simply did not give a f. He was very nonchalant, and as someone who works in the food industry that really bothers me. This was the first time in my life I’ve left less than a 20% tip. The one other woman working there was very friendly and even offered to give my almost 2 year old some balloons to blow up and play with. Overall the atmosphere and interior design of the restaurant is really cool! I can imagine this being a fun spot to go to on a Friday night. My. Husband got a brisket sandwich and I got the pastrami sandwich, which was good but the Gouda that comes in it is overpowering and I eventually took it off so I could actually taste the rest of the flavors. My husband also woke up in the middle of the night throwing up and spent the next day on the toilet and he’s feeling pretty positive it was the food.

Literally the most juicy, tender, sandwich I've ever had. absolutely mouthwatering. Service was above and beyond. If I ever find myself flying past again this will be my only food stop.

Vegetarian options: I tried basil burrata and was very bland and flavorless.

The drinks and the food here are incredible. But honestly the best part about my experience here was the exceptional service I received from the truly incredible staff that works here. The entire staff was funny and exuberant, made me feel welcomed and quite frankly at home. I was truly grateful to have my gate right next to this establishment and was a perfect send off before my flight!

The corn on the cob was salty and it is pricey but we had a great time Orion I believe is his name was awesome. The drinks need some work I had Moscow Mule and I needed to sample the $52.00 beef ribs no shade.Parking: Next to a liquor storeKid-friendliness: Our Grandson was welcome with open arms

Sirloin steak and asparagus with garlic roasted potatoes hit the spot. Mojito was so delicious and strong with flavor and content that there was no need for a second. Will definitely be coming back to try other menu items. You should definitely try this place out. Food is bursting with flavor.

I’m giving it 2 stars because it has a parking lot and the space really is nice. Multiple TVs but literally no access to remotes to change games. This is the second time I’ve visited and this has happened. No bartenders knew how to use the remote to change tv’s and had to contact the manager to fix it. Took over 15 mins and then we left.

My Sundays have found a new highlight – Cityrub in the Ironbound. There's something about the atmosphere here, especially when the pagode band is playing, that just lifts your spirits. The crowd and the staff add to this feel-good ambiance, always welcoming and genuinely nice.I've noticed some reviews mentioning slower service, but in my experience, this trait is more cultural than a flaw. If you've ever been to Latin America, you'll know that the service style is different. It's common to signal to a server or bartender when you need something; they won't hover around you as that's often seen as intrusive. This practice isn't a sign of negligence; it's just how things are done, respecting your space and conversation.Adapting to this cultural nuance, I've never faced any real issues with the service here.

I ordered an egg and cheese sandwich. their menu suggests it comes with a fruit cup but then they told me the fruit cup was an extra $8 which wasn't listed anywhere. I got on the airplane to eat my sandwich and it was covered in meat (again, I ordered an egg and cheese). I am vegetarian so unfortunately i paid $11 for something I can't eat and have to throw away.
