Heard so much about the place on instagram had to come try it out. Wasn’t to happy that they was out of their special. I ended up getting the crab meat pasta, over an hour for me to get it. Unfortunately I wasn’t able to have it fresh when I got because taking care of a baby limits me, but having it warmed up wasn’t too bad just wish the sauce wasn’t all dried up and that it wasn’t so oily. The restaurant itself was nice, didn’t like that the first thing I smelled when I walked in was cigarette being that I am a asthmatic made it very hard for me to breathe.

This should be illegal to serve MiCROWAVED food! Definitely will be calling health inspectors here. We spent 100+ dollars for our food and had the worse experience. You can tell they do not have the proper equipments here and is definitely false advertising for business!! We were charged a $10 consumption fee to smoke our own blunt (so foolish) . Then the inexperienced so called waiter at the front added his own tip to our order which is illegal in the state of NJ (we figured it out after we paid) …the crab legs were so hard to crack and the meat was rubbery! TERRIBLE . The food tastes like it was whipped up in a basement kitchen and served to us . The wings tasted like frozen Buffalo wings that was MICROWAVED! They literally took a stick of butter and melted it on top of my seafood then sprinkled ole bay seasoning on top to look decent. There was no official napkins ….looks like the paper towels were cut by scissors…no gloves, no bibs, no utensils to crack the crab with . The FRIES WERE SO HARD IT ALMOST BROKE OUR TEETH. Honestly it would’ve tasted better if it was air fried rather than MICROWAVED! Y’all my experience here was Horrible . The place was empty and the recent pics online definitely did not look like the place. The last good sets of pics here were from 2021 . This is DEFINITELY A SCAMMING BUSINESS! Do not be fooled!

Listen, let me start by saying that I really want to support this spot. My girls and I have been looking forward to coming for over a month. But I have never been anywhere that advertises messy food that you know you're going to eat with your hands, and then don't have the necessary things you need; no bibs, no plates, no wet napkins, no lemons and then had the nerve to not even have a working light in the women's bathroom so we can see how well we're washing our hands!!! We even had to ask for cups (even though it's BYOB).I wish them luck but they will never ever get another dollar out of me!

I recently visited Crabs on the Way and had an amazing experience! The atmosphere was casual and fun, with a live DJ and hookah available. I loved that it was BYOB, which made it even more affordable. The seafood lobster boil was delicious and fresh, and the staff was friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great seafood boil experience.

Where do I begin?? We waited over an hour for our appetizers only for them to tell us (after an hour) that they ran out of crabmeat...THEN, I asked for a full glass of ice for the warm water and warm soda they provided, only for them to tell me they have no more iceIt gets better....when our seafood boil came, they said they ran out of corn so they substitute it with broccoli.. This place is to be known for crabs (hence the name) and you run out of crab after being opened for 3 hours??? WE FIND ALL OF THIS OUT AFTER WAITING 1+ HOURS. There's more, but I think I've provided enough. Do I recommend? No.

Customer service was terrible. Food took over 1 hr to receive. 2 Seafood broils was presented in a plastic tray which melted & spilled on my back seat. Food was dry and crab legs was extra skinny. Lobster was dry & tasteless & shrimp was extra small. The crab fries was a total disaster. $125 of disappointment. Be aware that rude teenagers seem to run the place and hang around doing nothing but smoking and playing on their phones.

Since they had my first review deleted, im writing another one. Everything about this place was TERRIBLE . Customer service was HORRIBLE. The servers were on their phones instead of helping customers. The food was DISGUSTING after we waited over a hour and a half for the food. They charge a bottle fee to bring your own bottle. I will never return to this place and wouldn't recommend anybody go here
I was charged to a fee to smoke. A pregnant woman came in and they asked me to stop smoking. That was bad service and how could you charge some one a fee for a service and then ask them not to utilize the service to accommodate another customer who in fact is in an inappropriate place where people are smoking and bringing children around that. This is unacceptable service and honestly I will never come back here again. Bad service and took long the servers were too young and unprofessional and they opened up later than they posted. Never again bad business and won't waste my money or time. I do not recommend any one come in here to experience what I did.

I was so excited to try this spot and finally did over the weekend. The food was great, they didn’t have the crab wings that I wanted but the snow crab leg boil was so good. They don’t have any special sauces but the regular butter was fine. The Iced teas were so good tooThe service could be improved upon tremendously. No greeting or host, you just walk in to any table you want. They don’t have menus, it’s an Instagram post so if you don’t have IG, you can’t see a menu. What really go me is they ran out of bottled water!! I’d come back for take out, but they need to improve on service & basic things a restaurant should have before I ever sit down there again.

I can't deny that the food is very good. I would recommend this place to others. As far as customer service goes, they have to work on that. They were short staffed and it took a very long time for our food to come out. Also they have to have better bathroom etiquette. The sink wasn't working to wash your hands.

Let me start by saying i am so happy for this black owned business! They have humble beginnings! The only thing that i would critique is the wait time for ur food. Omg it was extremely long. We waited two hours for a few crab boils and pasta and the restaurant was not crowded! Since its BYOB we were drinking and chatting but i can't imagine coming here hungry juat wanting to eat! What i will say is the foos is delicious. Shrimp pasta was very good! A bit spicy but good! The crab boils were good and hot!! Place is small but good amount of tables. Waiter was nice and worked hard trying to get everything. Not crazy about the use of flimsy plastic forks but i get it. Just wish they were stronger. Overall good chill spot that u can listen to music and bring ur own drinks. Come for the food but be prepared of the wait time...at least it will be tasty. Just make sure u have the time to spare and hang out.
