Considering my past negative experiences with ordering from restaurants in New Jersey, I was hesitant. However, the lady I spoke to at Iyalaje's Restaurant assured me that I wouldn't regret it. For Christmas, I decided to give it a try and ordered some food. To my delight, the food was absolutely exceptional. I was thoroughly impressed. The lady followed up with me to ensure I enjoyed the food, and I expressed my satisfaction. This positive experience led me to order again for my baby's naming ceremony. It was during this occasion that I had the pleasure of speaking with the owner, Iyalaje herself. She was incredibly sweet and pleasant to deal with. We negotiated the price, and once again, she delivered nothing but the best. Every dish I ordered, from Eforiro to Moimoi, Ayamase to Asaro, along with goat meat, fish, and pastries, was impeccable. My guests loved it. In fact, my sister was so impressed that she ended up ordering food for Eid Al Fitr as well. I consider myself a food critic, but Iyalaje's food surpassed all expectations. You won't be disappointed.

First off let me start but saying May God continue to BLESS this establishment! I’m Kenyan but I love some good Nigerian food. A lot of my coworkers were giving great reviews about “one proper Nigerian spot down the road”. I came here after work ordered Jollof, chicken, fish and my favorite Asun. I wish I took pictures for this review but when I tell you not one thing missed the mark. CONSISTENCY ACROSS THE BOARD. I will definitely be coming back perhaps tomorrow even.

Save yourself the stress, do not let the name catch you. I ordered white rice with ayamashe, it was the most stale rice and food ever. The white rice was so gummy and sticky meaning its been sitting in the kitchen for days !!! i had to dump it . Very ridiculousCheck out NAIJA HOUSE RESTAURANT rather, and thank me later .

I ordered jollof rice today and it was all burnt rice that was delivered to me. I really felt bad and just wasted my hard earned money. I truly deserve a refund. The rice was full of oil at the bottom. I bought 2 pks for me and my son and we could not eat the food. No phone number to call. Too too bad experience.

Worst food I have ever had two piecesChicken was dry not fresh (microwaved) at all one container of rice all for a wonderful price of $22 Would rather starve then set foot in this place again. Save your self a headache keep walking by .

Let me start by saying that I was charged a higher price than what the menu showed. Jollof is $15. I was charged $20. Another review pointed that out, I can confirm that it is true. Additionally, I ordered jollof rice with chicken. I was given turkey instead of chicken. And the jollof rice was nothing to write home about, had I had a taste before hand, I would not have eaten there. But this is based on my experiences at other nigerian places with much more flavorful jollof rice (I'm not a newbie). But ultimately, this was MY experience at this joint, do not let it deter you from trying it. You may have a better experience & a completely different opinion.

I've never experienced African food like this before. It was very spicy but quite delicious. The rice and beans were steaming hot and the chicken was soaked in this spicy oil of flavors that you can mix with the rice and beans. The lady was sweet too.
