Very CLEAN restaurant and staff! Enjoy "pinless" ApplePay transactions and super quick service. They have chicken, rice, and salad platters; fresh pizza; dessert; and even natural shea butter at a price so unbelievable I won't write it in this review.There's a tidy restroom that's usually readily available and a beautifully decorated seating area that's perfect for a quick lunch stop. The prices are very reasonable. Anyone with at least $5 can eat here, but for $10 you can eat heartily and leave very full.Customer service here is what anyone should expect of a standard Arabic establishment. Everyone is very polite, non-combative, and very generous. Well known in the neighborhood, Jersey Fried Chicken boasts a cozy and familiar atmosphere and totes a very loyal and loving lot of regular customers.Dietary restrictions: Great options for diabetics and plenty of natural and unprocessed options for someone looking for a real meal.Kid-friendliness: There's a restroom and clean tables with low seats they can eat in with an express bus stop nearby. Perfect location to stop in and have lunch. During the day, it's quiet and calm. There's a school nearby so after those hours things can get a little crowded. Young adults LOVE to come eat here since it's priced well and very conveniently located.Wheelchair accessibility: There's a ramp at the entrance and there are no steps into the restroom. The tables have lightweight unattached chairs that slide out very easily from tables at regular or counter height for your convenience. The counter is a bit tall, but besides plenty of room to move a power chair around, the staff is friendly and the front is easily accessible. Did I mention that the debit reader has a long cord and supports ApplePay and GoogleWallet?

The chicken was pretty to alright although I ordered a 5 piece mixed chicken…I asked for breast, thighs, and wings, with no legs and they didn’t put not even one breast in the box at all. I asked for blue cheese and hot sauce and they didn’t send the blue cheese either. I grubhubbed it. They just chose not to follow directions which was unfortunate. I would try again but seeing as how they don’t really honor your order through these apps, I might just decide to order from a different shack that does.

I’m giving two stars because I haven’t tried the food yet but they’ve got misleading price and menu online. I called to place my order and they gave me a different price totally and when I referred to the menu online, I was told that they don’t even know what menu is on google/online. This is possible just to lure customers, I guess! What a joke!

I didn’t know about this place until I came across it on an instagram page I follow. Apparently it’s pretty popular in the Newark area. My first experience was a good one, the chicken was pretty good and not fried too hard, the fries were good as well. The next two times I went the chicken was over cooked and dry and so were the fries. My conclusion is that it’s better to go later in the evening/night rather than early in the afternoon because it must be the cook that’s making the difference in the quality of the food. Both times I went early in the afternoon between like 12pm-3pm the chicken was too dry and over cooked and just not to my liking. I’ll probably end up going back to my old chicken spot instead of this one in the future. They made a pretty good first impression though but the food is just too inconsistent for me.
