Sweet Portugal Bakery is a wonderful asset to the community. They have a delightful variety of quality sweet and savory treats that hearken back to “homemade.” Their delivery network is expansive to conveniently ship or personally deliver goods to your home should you not be able to make it into the shop, and the people are honest, friendly, and hardworking to boot. Amazing food, adorable staff, definitely recommend getting a fancy coffee drink (I got a mocha and my friends got cappuccinos), they were great! Great portions for the sandwich, and the egg tart was perfectly crunchy and soft hope to order again soon!!

Drove over an hour to come here for lunch. Hours don't match online, according to this yelp page you are open until 3pm. Google page shows you closed at 1pm. We arrived at 1:30pm to find the place was already closed. We were really looking forward to eating here and was extremely disappointed that the hours posted here on this yelp page aren't even accurate. We won't waste our time again.
What a hidden gem in newark!!! This is a must for some delicious mouth watering pastries, incredible breakfast sandwiches and bomb coffee!! The tripes are mouthwatering! These are traditional Portuguese pastries that are stuffed crepes- I like mine with dulce de leche- but all the other flavors looked super good too! Then the pasteis de bats are a must! The shrimp risseous which are like empanadas are probably the best in newark!! For coffee try the hot gallao- it's espresso and froth milk and holy moly!! Move over cappuccino bc a gallao is where it's at!!! Also bonus they have a mini little grocery area where u can buy Portuguese products- chorizos with incredible smoked flavor, cheeses, even baby Portuguese cereal. If you're in the area you must must go and they also ship their items all over the country!!!

AMAZING!!!!!!! We ordered for the first time today on Uber eats. We order bacon egg and cheese and sausage egg and cheese and omg it was soooooooo good! Arrived fresh and piping hot and I mean hot! Soooo yummy!! We also order two beef empanadas and they were sooooo tasty. The dough was flaky, buttery, flavorful and the filling was perfect. I am so in love with this place an can't wait to order again or go in person!! Yum yum yum!!! The perfect breakfast sandwich!!!!
