Terrible place. I just went there today to eat jollof rice . The rice was burnt, fried plantains fried black and not well cooked. Workers are rude and dirty. Just wasted my time traveling from Manhattan to Newark to eat trash

So the food wasn’t bad. But it was spicy at all. Maybe this spot would be good for African Americans for their first try. But not spicy for us Nigerians. Maybe I should’ve asked for it to be spicy. But overall it’s good. The jollof was bland. But pounded yam and egusi was good but sweet.

Was craving African food for a few days and this was one spot that was closest to me. Was so disappointed! Ordered Egusi stew that came with no stew but rather with what looked like Ragu and 2 pieces of meat. Ordered Jollof rice that was so dry and bland it tasted like it had been sitting out for a day or so. The suya was well seasoned albeit very dry but the guy did say that it was the last one so it very well might have been out for too long. Fufu was good though. Would not return. Food was not good.
Bought moi moi and ayamasha from door dash.What a mess, first if you want to eat the most blank and bla moi moi , you can order from here. Literally no fish , no egg as in NOTHING. For the amount charge, please order moi moi somewhere else and it was so hard to put a fork into like it’s ridiculous .Ayamashe , i wish i hadn’t dump it before this review. They literally stuffed the ayamashe stew next to the rice together! To cut the amount of portion being sold to you, the egg look old wasnt fresh , so tiny like a guinea pig egg. I had to dump it , waste of money. Please order elsewhere

Horrible! Horrible! I wish I could rate one star. The man serving me was horrible and their food was enough to feed a 1 year old. Tiny peeper soup with only liver instead of assorted meat. Rice had no taste and suya was nothing to write home about. My husband said the pepper soup tasted like water down meat stock. The server was sighing and banging doors while serving. He was extremely rude! Never going back!! Worst restaurant ever!

When dinning in Food bill was 40 dollars more than menu prices at the end of the meal but i wasn't told that until i got ready to pay .I felt like I was robbed without a gun Food was nothing to brag about at all but if I were you get the total for your bill before you eat or else she'll change the price at register when your ready to pay Good luck I'm a true foodie go somewhere else Please don't waste your time

A man cursed me out and my children thru us out for no reason dint even let me order food and it was 30 degrees outside. They should close this place wow. What a Christmas spirit place terrible. Dont eat here that man is mean and unprofessional
