This place discriminates if you are not from their culture.

Dishonest.I don't know if the cook or the owner.I ordered chicken to take away but when I checked it was chicken, I don't know if it was from the nursery or from the supermarket. But it wasn't chicken, if they offer you something they should give it because that's what they pay for, they are not doing charity. If they don't have it, say so and choose something else. They offered to change the piece (because it was a huge breast)But they delayed. So I grabbed the humas that I had also ordered and left the value and tip for the waitress, who in the end served me well.

We went yesterday for the first time with my husband, we are Guayaquileños but we liked the mixed bolones with steak and egg, humitas and delicious coffee….

Food was excellent. I had the chicken with lemon sauce, black beans and rice. I really enjoyed the meal full of lemon. My friends ate the seafood two different dishes, they also had soup. We all were completely happy with our meal. Plenty of food we will return. Service was excellent they staff was Johnny on the spot. Keep up the good service and food Sol-Mar.

I'm here at 8:45 in the morning on a Thursday. The place is very empty, everything still looks clean and organized. We are waiting for our order, there are a variety of Ecuadorian snacks,As I write this, part of my order has just arrived...Advice: Don't order morocho!Don't order morocho if you are used to traditional Ecuadorian morocho.Mine literally looks like a cup of hot regular milk (watch the video)I asked if they were Ecuadorian and they said yes...But an Ecuadorian knows that a morocho does not look like that either in presentation or consistency. The muchin looks just like it, but it's not just cassava either, it has flour dough mixed in, it seems like corn. The green empanada looks good (photo included) and has a very good flavor and plenty of filling. The place just got busier...And there are also food dishes such as rice with stew.

We were 4 in our hungry party and ordered several appetizers to start with. The shrimp & garlic, chorizo, clams casino, lobster bisque, oysters, & cod croquettes, whew! All really good although sent back the clams as very dry. Entrees surf & turf (not filet mignon but menu said it was), whole snapper very tasty too many bones & hard to get meat off. One had the halibut which he enjoyed but it looked dry. Last had a mixed seafood plate that included 4 big green lipped mussels that were very fishy & the rest of the dish was disappointing. The oysters, chorizo, shrimp & garlic very good cod croquettes very dry. Overall some hits some misses, would return as very nice atmosphere & owner very friendly.
