If you are looking for a typical tico meal, this is the place. Feels like being welcomed in a Costa Rican home and the prices are very reasonable.

What a treat! This was our favorite typical "casado" meal while on our two week trip in Costa Rica! The herbed lemonade was fresh and delicious, and vegetarian casado plates creative and very fresh. The house homemade mango pepper sauce was delicious! The two women who ran the restaurant were so friendly and even let us take their photograph! Very clean, cute atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Hola! If you enjoy good home cooked dishes that scream of flavor and deliciousness, this is the place for you. Nestled on an unassuming side street, this outdoor seated joint will open your eyes and stomach to a whole new world. Each dish was phenomenal- honestly, can’t go wrong with any dish. Across a span of two days (this was how impressionable the food was), these were the dishes that we tried and loved: Pollo with rice and beans (under the Carribean section): Holy guacamole, this dish was life changing. I would dub this the “do not judge a book by its cover dish”. Initially a demure looking piece of chicken, after one bite, WHOA. A party has officially started. The coconut flavors interlaced each fiber of the chicken. Spices and notes of thyme further enhanced this to another dimension. Coupled with the most flavorful rice and beans I’ve ever tasted and the freshest salad to date- I was in love. So much that I dreamt about this the same night-similar to what I would imagine when I’ve met an impressionable date who has yet to be met. Make sure to get the spicy sauce (which isn’t actually that spicy and adds an extra pow flavor to this already magical dish). I don’t want to lose your attention here so diving into the must orders, but make sure to also get the chifrijo (fried pork skin with rice/beans/pico de gallo), the horchata milk shake, the fresh passion fruit and mango juice, arroz con leche, churro and Costa Rican Classic squash with ginger and honey. Heck- just order everything. To make this place even more likable, the sisters/master chefs/owners were the sweetest most welcoming people ever. I entered as a stranger and left with a feeling of having a Costa Rican family. Thank you D’ mi Tierra for such a memorable dining experience that I will forever cherish. I will be back again!!! Muah muah

Absolutely LOVED this place. Every place we've eaten has been great but this place really topped the charts by a landslide. The food, the friendly owners, the vibe, the cute outdoor seating and everything in between...ahhh I will miss this place once I fly home. I visited two days in a row for the rice & beans with chicken. I would've come back for a third day in a row but they are not open on Wednesdays. The rice & beans with chicken may look unassuming but trust me, every part of that dish is PACKED with flavor. The chicken is so juicy and cooked to perfection with a slight crisp, blooming with spice and savory goodness. And my gosh the rice and beans??? I didn't know rice and beans could be so flavorful!! This plate of food was life changing. The fruit juices were also so refreshing on a hot day and not too sweet! I had both the mango and passion fruit ones. All the desserts were great as well, you really can't go wrong with any of them. Everything was an awesome portion for a hungry person with reasonable prices, but most of all unbeatable flavor. I wish I had a place like this at home, I would eat here all the time if I could!! Thank you for the wonderful food!!!

Best food in Costa Rica I have had so far. Everything is very freshly prepared and very flavorful! It is a small, family run restaurant with a cute open air seating area. We had the meat hot pot and mushroom chicken, the chicken was so juicy and well spiced, and I can't say enough good about the "olla de carne"! The owner was very friendly and grateful for our patience when a big group sat just before us (just because it would take a bit longer for us to be served). It was well worth the wait and the extra walk as it's a bit off the main drag! Can't recommend this place more!! I forgot to take photos, I was too excited to dig in!

This place is great and authentic. The food is always fresh to order and this is the closest I've found to true Dominican food. Their mofongo is never stale. Always fresh and garlicky like how I love it. Their chuletas (pork chops) are always well seasoned and fried hard but not dry. The rice and beans are always on point. Pepper steak and Empanadas always done right. Food is always hot and fresh upon arrival and the service is moderately good.

This place is amazing. We had the Casado vegano. Hands down the best food I’ve eaten in Costa Rica thus far. The Casado was delicious and the plantains rocked my world. So full of flavor!! I will definitely be heading back to D’ Mi Tierra on this trip alone. 10/10!!

Excellent food, great service. We ate olla de carne, rice and beans with coconut and chicken with coconut. Family business with nice parking area. Great desserts, we tried churros and Hawaiian style ice cream. Lemon juice with mint or basil is a must. No alcoholic beverages. Congratulations for making our lunch so special.
