We couldn't find the seafood restaurant we usually go and stumbled here at lunch. Sooooo good lunch specials. We got the monkfish rice stew and the fried chicken rice. Both were plentiful and pretty darn delish. Only the bar was open and looked rather divey but totally just a facade. Service was good and we definitely enjoy our experience.
Good restaurant, if you speak Portuguese you will feel at home.

Stumbled upon this gem after seeing a show Saturday afternoon. Nice intimate laid-back atmosphere not crowded. Waiter treated us so well! The food was awesome. I had a Portuguese steak and it was delicious. We also had shellfish and fried fish everything was great the service was awesome! Thank you so much

This place was the best authentic Portuguese food I have had in a really long time! The food tasted great and the ambiance was quite cozy and super relaxing. The service was awesome and was very attentive and always on point! Having lived in the ironbound for a long time, this place is well worth a drive.

Horrible costumer service!!!! Stay away from this place if you dont want unpleasent suprises... Schedule a 35 plp party for sunday 18th a week ago, and right now friday.. less then 48 hours to the party I called to set up plates etc, and I was told that we no longer can have a party there. When I asked the reason the answer was...be prepared.... " I dont speak English very well, you need to speak with somebody else.. but hes not here.." this is F..ing USA if you want to work here you better learn the language... And we will NEVER go back to restaurant for our party.
