I have eaten here, for probably 20 years off and on. Usually delivery, but occasionally have eaten inside. Servers and staff always made us feel welcomed. Food is reasonably priced and portions are good.I had a ladies affair for my birthday yesterday and had it prearranged via Door Dash for 2PM delivery.Food arrived at my home ahead of scheduled time. It was packed well( presentation A plus)and piping hot.Transportated well to my venue almost an hour later, still warm.My guests enjoyed the food( 2 whole chickens, 2 orders of beef ribs, yellow rice, Spanish chips, fries, plantains, fresh steam vegetables, and 2 Seafood Paellas).Good stuff Pic Nic BBQ.

I went to the restaurant since it was recommended, based on its photos the food looked good. We ordered a large barbecue for 3 people, which the meat was soggy and the chorizo was good. Then when I tried the chicken it was super dry and super salty and inedible, I tried the pork ribs and they were just as dry and super salty. We don't eat and he reported the complaint to the waiter, I tell him to please leave because I don't want this inedible, he should only charge me for what I had eaten with its respective garnishes, he ignores what I requested and tells me that the cook says that he was fine "trying to say that I'm wrong" that he can't do anything that's going to change me, I tell him, my appetite's gone, I don't want anything, I don't want to take anything away either because I'm not going to eat and I'm not going to pay for something. that I don't want, in short it doesn't help me. He gave me ribs and chicken again to take away which I told him I didn't want, he handed me the bill and charged me for absolutely everything. Adding 15% which I did not agree to because their services were not adequate, my husband agrees to take the food and pays the bill. He comes home and tries the food the next day and it was still super salty, super seasoned and inedible. In short, I do not recommend this place at all, if I could have given it 0 stars!! The worst restaurant in Newark.

We ordered a plate that had various meats accompanied by cassava and salad, the beef and ribs were really good, but the chicken and pork were dry and seasoned in a not so pleasant way..... The bill was not that high , it was a dish for about 3 people and it was $60 with tips.... I ate it, but I don't think it's a place I'll go to again.
I ORDERED FOOD LAST NIGHT IT ARRIVED AFTER 7PM. IT WAS HORRIBLE COULD NOT EAT IT BECAUSE IT WAS ENTIRELY TO SALTY INSTEAD OF GARLIC SAUCE IT WAS SALT SAUCE CHICKEN SALTY AS WELL AND THE YELLOW RICE WAS HARD. THEY WOULD NOT REFUND MY MONEY OR DELIVER MORE FOOD SO I AM OUT OF 30.00. RUDE AND NASTY!!!

Great food, great value and great service. My daughter and I shared the mixed grill. It came with chorizo, short ribs, chicken and another cut of steak. The side dishes were white rice, fries, black beans and a collard greens salad. Everything was super tasty. We also ordered a side of maduros. We took home probably about 1/2 the food and my daughter said "daddy tomor I'm not eating breakfast so I can have all the leftovers for lunch".
