I paid $18. I get home, and it's literally the size of a side salad ? I have no problem paying. Not to mention there were tomatoes in my cesar salad. Go figure.....

This is what you will get for 25us, uncooked potatoes, no even a quarter of pound of chicken/meat picadinho. The waiter bartender doesn't even ask or check after served, absolutely poor customer services skills. Kitchen sucks & lame service.

First time at Sagres Bar & Grill. The locals really seemed to love this place, but I was not wowed at all. Drinks were horrible and the food was just okay. They're was Karaoke the night I went, so that was entertaining.Parking: It's the iron bound section of Newark. Parking is never easy to find.

Food was salty, nachos were stale, place was rowdy and loud. You're also charged to use a card and an 18% tip is included no matter what. Go elsewhere.

I received horrible service this Sunday. Not only did I constantly have to ask for the things that I needed in order to eat what I ordered while the waiter spent an unusual amount of time providing great service to the White guest, the food was HORRIBLE. I woke up to a fraudulent adjustments to my check that included a tip that I never authorized.I will never eat here again, not only did I feel the racism and speak up — it seems the restaurant felt it was their right to financially take advantage of me.I would suggest that all Black residence of Newark their business elsewhere. This is not the first time at this location, they are no longer worthy of our patronage!

The food is really bad, my wife and I asked for a burger with chipotle sauce, and the "meat" looked like vomit, we just went there because there was no other place nearby that served food at 12am.

Very cozy environment nice to catch up with friends or family over good vibes and of course the best sangrias I love how they make me feel safe and are always quick with service

The idea of a Portuguese pub open at midnight sounded great, especially since I was hungry after a long flight. Food was cold and did not taste fresh at all. Maybe it was the time of day…but still. Really hope I don’t get sick from what I did eat. I feel bad giving a bad review like this but I hope ownership steps it up because it looks like it could be a good Portuguese Pub.

Sagres in Newark, NJ, is the bomb! The place's got a chill vibe and killer food that'll blow your mind. Open kitchen, rockstar chefs, and finger-licking dishes – it's pure awesomeness! The drinks are on point, and the bartenders are cocktail wizards. And guess what? They're open late too! Sagres is the place to be for a next-level dining experience, no doubt!

Normally, mediocre food and way-too-expensive prices aren’t enough to make me bother leaving a bad review. What’s worse is that this place is a veritable bane to society. Presumably, the same poor business practices that led to the food mediocrity and ridiculous prices are also the root of why it is always virtually empty during regular hours, when better places are available. In order to draw in more business, they seem to have made it their niche to be the lone place serving alcohol to ungodly hours on weekend and weeknight alike (and they even seem to- illegally?- host for sometimes hours beyond the alleged opening times). Raucous crowds, obnoxious music, and no wall to help banish these sounds from the street at large render what might have been a quaint neighborhood establishment into my primary motivation to find a new home. One can only hope the extended hours will prove insufficient to keep the business open.I would implore others to not patronize this establishment. But, if you would fail to be implored, I would ask at the very least that whatever modicum of decency you have would encourage you to have some pity for those living nearby who must unfortunately wake up for work in the morning, and be thankful you aren’t yourself kept from sleeping when needed.
