This place is closed. I read some views and would like to have some breakfast there. When there, it is closed and the promise to rent.

Place is really cute, everything looks nice and clean. The food was typical cafe food from around the area. One lady was nice and friendly. However, the other lady decided to handle one of the sandwiches I ordered without washing her hands. She had come in from a deliver, was handling cash at the register, barely put any sanitizer on from a nearly empty bottle, and proceeded to finish toasting one of the sandwiches. Not very hygienic, especially in the middle of a pandemic. Needless to say, that sandwich went straight to the garbage. The rest was fine.

cafe food, yeah, yummy. I wish there were more places like this around town. Looking forward to returning with my relatives.

One of my fav locations for quality cafe food. staff is always nice even when they have a full house. the service was friendly and sociable. prices were reasonable.

cafe food and the setting at this spot is very good. You won't be disappointed in the menu and service. Next time I'll be back with my friends.

My top place for tasty Cafe food. Really nothing but enjoyable experiences here, I'll be back. Food is like a place in Baltimore I liked.

After having worked in Newark since 1989, I finally made it to Krug's for what proved to be the best burger I have ever had, juicy, tender and too big for me to eat in one setting. And the pickles! Reminded me of the way pickles used to taste on burgers in my youth.

Embarrassing. Brought clients. Service was horrible. 25 years going here. Don’t forget your best clients are your business clients. Sometimes we come on a weekend. Treated us badly. Calling everyone I know. Goal is fillet people know it’s not about your customers. Really disappointed. Everyone I know. Every bug Newark business. You are done. Call Pete g at the ledger.

Most delicious cheeseburgers and their pickles ROCK! First time in far too many years that the burger was as big as the bun or bigger - absolutely delicious!!! We have had Krugs burgers at least 8-10 times already and only this week did we even remember to take a menu back with us!

Arrogant of me to say that, huh? So, it's true, I haven't tried EVERY cheeseburger in the world, but now that Poag Mahone's in Chicago seems to have closed, I don't have to think twice about where to find the best one in the country. I don't care for high end steakhouse burgers, they tend to be too lean, but I've tried zillions of pubs/bars/diners/counters, and the cheeseburgers Krug's turns out on that tiny surface are some kind of perfection ( I think they can only manage to make 4 or 6 at a time!) They're enormous (12 oz, I think,) they never get the degree of "doneness" wrong, ask for grilled onions. I'm not a pickle fan but the Kosher giants they bring to the table are a hit with other people I've been with. Looks like a dive from outside, but park in the back, use the back door for the dining room. Very clean, service is fast, (unless there are more that 6 burgers on order LOL.) And the all-important question for a NY area bar, Yankees or Mets? It's a Yankee bar :o) Onion rings are quite good, and if you have a six year old with you who eats nothing but grilled cheese sandwiches, they'll take care of him, too.
