Mmm. They made this pregnant lady's day! It smells so good walking by here, it was just a matter of time before we popped in to try something because we walk past all the time. There's always activity, so obviously the word is out that it's a solid spot. We grabbed deviled eggs, a fish sandwich, and chicken and waffles. Everything was cooked to order and it's just lovely. So fresh, so piping hot, so flavorful. Nice crispy chicken and fish. This will be a staple, I can tell. Thank you for an awesome lunch!

This was my first time at this location and I loved every minute of it the food was amazing one of the best soul food spots in Newark I had the sticky wings with yams and yellow rice and it was definitely made with love I wish I could have tried the deviled eggs but they were out I will be back to try them

I've only recently discovered this place and I'm so happy I stumbled upon this neighborhood gem. I've ordered from here 3 times within the past two weeks and it's hit the spot each time. So far I've tried: Sticky wings - 10/10. Healthy serving size & tastiest I've had since moving to Jersey (even compared to some soul food spots in Harlem/BK). Chicken & waffles - 10/10. Again, generous serving size. Chicken wings were big and fried with care (i just know it, I could -feel- it lol). Waffle was maybe a smidge too sweet (if that's a thing??) at least for my teeth (: Oxtail - 10/10. By now we already know: generous serving size. Comes with rice & peas, topped with cabbage. Good af

This is place showed up and showed out! I placed a catered order at the very last minute for a function and this restaurant delivered! The food was DELICIOUS & FLAVORFUL! Not one complaint at all. My only issue is that they could did not deliver

Visit this place over the weekend I ordered lamb chops cabbage baked macaroni cheese my mother had turkey wings collard greens baked macaroni and cheese a side of deviled eggs and potato salad which was good now the prices are fair due to the amount of food you received get let's just say this will be my new spot by the way did I mention it is BYOB keep it cute tho.

I ordered here for the first time last night. $17 for a whiting dinner with two sides. I thought it a little pricey but then I saw my five pieces of freshly cooked fish. The greens and mac&cheese were ridiculous!! Truly soul food and I am a foodie!! I make everything from scratch!!

They are very good in general. With their fish fry to the basics of soul food. The Mac and cheese with the collard greens are great with flavor and good quality.
I had the pleasure of coming here last week. The food is simply delicious and has a home made quality to it. Food is served hot and fresh!! I ordered the lambs chops and they were flavored perfectly and served with rice. The Macaroni and cheese was off the hook yummy :o) Candied Yams came along with it and I could taste the flavorful brown sugar . I am definitely coming here again. I ordered my food to go only because of the Corona Virus situation. I take my food home to eat and it was so GOOD !

I wanted to try a soul food place new from the norm and I found Soul2Soul from a popular black owned NJ page on Facebook. Ordered, and picked it up and I was not let down at all! The macaroni and cheese, candied yams, with ribs, and rice comes with it added already! My taste buds were excited! Wait time not long at all! From the assistant who answered the phone to the picking up of the food was all a great Customer Service friendly experience! I loved every moment of it! My family also enjoyed and this is a definite place on our rotation for dinners going forward!

Order: Turkey wings, Mac Collards and a Whiting Sandwich Dessert: Banana Pudding The fish that I was served was not fresh and very salty. I wasn't even served whole pieces. The fish was broken up and placed between two pieces of stale bread. The turkey wings were ginormous soaking the rice up with again salty gravy.
