The staff at this Starbucks are incredibly kind, dilligent, and understanding, qualities I have yet to see amongst all the other Starbucks' I have come across in the area. My tedious drink is always made in a timely matter, and with extra care. Jonathan and Tameerah usually make my drinks and they do amazingly at it. They are both so kind, funny, and influential to all the people around them.

Love or hate the company, this Starbucks has easily provided the best food, drink, and most importantly service, I’ve had throughout Newark. I’ve never had one bad interaction with the staff, and one staff member specifically, Johnathan, who I’d consider a friend from interacting with him so much, has me genuinely wanting to come back to this specific starbucks to try out new drinks or just get what I need for the day. I literally could not vouch for this starbucks enough.

Tamara is the rudest Starbucks employee. She has no customer service etiquette, and darn… she needs training. She doesn’t know the difference between a creme frappe and a regular frappe. Our order was messed up and she was mad at us. Get back to training, Tamara.

The most mind-blowingly horrible service I’ve ever received at a Starbucks, or really anywhere at all. I ordered a pastry through the mobile app, and got there at the estimated pick-up time. Nothing was there. I waited another 5min, then thought I should check in with the barista to see if it’s just not ready or maybe someone took it (which sometimes happens). Went up to the woman at the counter who was on her phone. Showed her my mobile receipt, asked politely what the status of my order is. Without bothering to say a word, she turned around and took something from out back and gave it to me. I was like great, problem solved. Bit weird they won’t bother a single word with the customer, but whatever. Then when I got back and opened it, the food was frozen solid. Not defrosted, not warmed, just ice cold in mid December. So instead of explaining to me (in 3-5 words, or a shrug really) that the order was not ready, the woman went “how dare you even ask me a question, you’re gonna eat frozen food now.” This is a new low for the entire service industry and I’m truly disgusted. Please take your money to the Starbucks two blocks away (687 Broad St, you’re welcome and this is how much I hate this place), or any of the independent cafés nearby. I’m fairly confident none of them would serve you frozen food taken halfway out of the oven as a punishment for a polite question. The only reason this place is not 1 star is because the lazy staff doesn’t have enough energy to mistreat every single customer.
This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Every time I visit this one, there's either no Frappes (not sure how you can run out of those), no syrups, no whipped cream, no pumpkin spice etc. Not to mention it's almost ALWAYS packed. The wait times are ridiculous and the staff is slow as molasses. There is also a 60% chance they'll make your drink wrong.
