I love this place, every time that I got a chance I used to stop by for a great coffee and some pastries! I Highly recommend it for those who love genuine bakery flavors and good coffee!

honestly, honestly I used to love this place been going my entire life, but since they expanded, their service is not the same. There was a whole line of people and they took the person that walked up to the register before anybody on line. I just walked out.Shame. No wonder my Spaniard family members stopped going there.

A very large and reasonably priced bakery that also serves great egg and cheese sandwiches on Portuguese rolls. I also tried the egg custard which were super fresh and not overly sweet. Their coffee was also tasted really fresh and delicious. The ladies at the register don't speak English really well so it may take some time to order your food but service otherwise was fantastic. They also have a ton of seating indoors and was pretty clean. Highly recommend!

Teixeira's Bakery is a must visit when in Ironbound area. Their egg custards taste fresh and it has just the right amount of sweetness. It has other sweets/dessert options to offer, but egg custards are their best sellers! This bakery has a dining area as well to enjoy your desserts immediately!

Bad staff attitude, they can’t understand English and it’s very difficult to communicate with them!!

Customer service was super nice, and efficient. The grilled chicken sandwich was on point. Wasn't a fan of the garbanzo and spinach soup. I had a little dessert of pastel de nata, Portuguese custard in a philo cup. It was sweet but not too much, very flaky crust. This place looked very clean and bright.

I personally am not ... or should I say ... was not a big fan of Portuguese egg tarts. There is nothing special about them. Just soggy softy spongy egg too and regular crust ... Well, my whole definition of egg tarts was transformed after trying these Teixeira's bakery pastel de nata ... Portuguese egg tarts. The pie was ... the pour crust was sooooo good ... as if biting into multi-layered croissant. The texture was so pleasant that I couldn't stop at one tart. I haven't tried other pastries from Teixeiras, but the egg tarts is good enough for me to make the trip to Newark.

I can all the way from Edison to this spot to buy the egg tart. They are soooo delicious, even after I put them in refrigerator and reheat, still crispy. The buttery and flaky crust melting in your mouth! The custard filling is creamy, a bit sweet, perfect balance with e crust.I also got the croissant, big size, butter flavor, flaky, exactly what I expected! Variety of pastry, soup, hot sub provided in this clean and spacious store. Great place to grab a quick lunch!

The best Nata's (Portuguese custard cups) I've ever had! I like to bring friends to get a taste of a good Portuguese bakery.

So good! Such a gem of a bakery in the middle of Ironbound. The pastel de nata are consistently good, plus the little lace chocolate cookies were nice and my family enjoyed them. Coffee was on point and it's nice to have juices available to take to go. I should have passed on the coxinha, as it was cold -- straight from the fridge. :(The service might have been a little less than great because it was very busy, plus I don't speak Portuguese (but I can understand when my numbers were called!).I will be back when I'm in the area!
