I met a work colleague here the other day as we were looking for someplace to set up for the afternoon prior to an evening event. I ordered espresso and it was excellent. I then ordered a chicken sandwich with grilled peppers and onions, it was very very good. The Cafe is constantly busy and there are teenagers everywhere because I'm guessing there is a high school near by. The bathroom was impeccably clean!

I have no pics because we ate it all too fast. Brought home some pastel de nata and they were delicious also brought home some sugar dusted soft cake/bread bun, dont know the nMe but was also amazing. Sad it took me so long to try here but glad because now Ill be there too much !

This unpretentious, honey little cafe is a hidden gem. The creme brulee Madeline is going to rock your pastry loving world.And then there's the sweet breads with shredded coconut. Just go grab a latte, a Madeleine or two and thank me later.

Turning 75 years old was made much easier, let me rephrase, was made GREAT by having a gathering of close family and friends at Mauro's Café in Carle place. This was our second time gathering at Café Mauro for a party and for the second time the food was perfect. Although a large group we were allowed to order anything we wanted off the menu. Lisbeth, our lovely server, did a wonderful job. All orders were perfect, served hot and served with humor and grace. The food was so outstanding that we had to give a standing ovation to the chef who was shocked but I hope realized how amazing he is. Anthony, the manager, coordinated the entire party also perfectly with a joy in seeing it go so well with everyone having a great time. Especially the birthday girl who let loose with just a little of their powerful sangria. Thanks also to Joe, the owner, whose care about quality and good service is infectious. Café Mauro does not cut corners and is highly recommended! Go and enjoy.
Stopped by for a cafe and also tried the Pastéis de nata, unfortunately it doesn't taste at all like from Portugal. Coffee was decent.

Picked up a slice of Flan Cake. Who ever thought of this was a genius! Delicious Flan on top of a buttery pound cake. Also had a sweet bread with coconut which was also wonderful! Definitely returning to this exceptional place.

?????- Customer service was dead⚰️!- We walked in and sat down for about 10 minutes and did not get acknowledged, just stared at?. Decided to get up and walk to the counter and 2 employees behind the counter just gave me an empty stare ?.?After standing there for about 2 minutes I thought that I would be nice and sit back down and not make a big deal about it. 5 minutes later we just got up and left.Very disappointing experience!
