Worst Experience. Never ever try new items which they send messages on Fridays. I had worst experience by ordering special briyani which is an worst. no flavor, just plain with raw chilli costed $24. stay away from this place.

Southern Spice consistently delivers the highest quality ingredients I have found in the South Plainfield/Piscataway area and beyond for both Indian/Chinese food.Normally when you order Chinese food the order is day or two old meats and vegetables and sauce that are congealed at best. This restaurant is a perfect example of: you get what you pay for. A little more cost, but an immeasurable higher quality.If you are looking for high quality, clean food this is the place to order. Ownership is dedicated to providing the best possible menu, is receptive to menu suggestions/modifications to orders, staff is attentive and polite, and interior is clean and well decorated. This should be a go to spot for both Rutgers students and/or individuals or families looking for a go to spot for fresh, authentic cuisine.Pro tip: order the garlic cheese naan

We drove 6 hrs hoping to find a good Biryani place in NJ.This was our first time dining in this restaurant & looking at the reviews we expected some good South Indian food. Shockingly to our suprise there was no taste at all not enough salt,enough spice just stale!!!We are highly disappointed.These guys need to improve a lot!!!

Go on Thursday for all-you-can-eat dosas, you won't be sorry. Every one we tried was delicious and it was only $15 per person.The dough made for the most perfectly soft-but-crunchy texture and the vegetable uttapam was delicious with plentiful vegetables.We had an array of chutneys to dip in that all offered yet more spice and flavor to the already excellent filling.They were kind enough to offer us chocolate dosas for dessert, which was the perfect ending to a generous meal.Bring cash for a tip as there is no option to add a tip to the receipt.The atmosphere is very bare bones -- I think they're primarily takeout -- but it was very clean and with a lot of new fixtures, decor, etc.Whenever a loved one visits, we'll be taking them here.
