I am glad O lar is back. Call ahead and get a reservation. Marinera paella was the best dish, worth it every time. Also was able to get a pitcher of sangria, which is best in town. Overall everything was amazing. I definitely recommend making reservations.

Went with a group of 8. Asked ahead if there was a quieter area in which to be seated but was told there was not. The food was great, the selection was wonderful, the tapas were delightful. Everyone at the table enjoyed the food. The noise level was incredible. We could only talk with the person next to us if we leaned toward them. A friend across the table from me joked that we should just text each other. I might go back on an early weekday night but only if the parking lot was not too busy. If you want a place to talk to friends this is not it. Walking into the quiet of the parking lot was a relief. We all felt that we would be hoarse later like we had attended a concert. I really hope the owner reads this review and does something to bro g down the noise. He will lose business otherwise.

Amazing meal at Olar Noso. Fully loaded seafood paella with tons of jumbo scallops, shrimps, clams and mussels. Everything was cooked to perfection. The razor clams tapas was equally delicious. Services were great. Everyone was super attentive. Huge wine selection as well.

Food was fine. Not best at all. Service was excellent. Notified when presenting bill that restaurant is cash only. Absolutely no indication when we walked in or on menu or when we sat down to place our order. Waiter stated there is a cash machine if you need to pay the bill. Spoke with manager and explanation was it's on social media (mind you there is no web site) and we've been this way since Piermont so you should know. I've been to places cash only. It's fine and we know going in because it's told and advertised. Sneaking a couple in and using your cash machine as means to pay a bill. Disgusting how you can get away with not telling people you are cash only until bill is served

I used to dine at the old location & was happy to see the pandemic didn't close them & they actually moved into a bigger space! We didn't make a reservation and it was 6pm-the start of prime time-but the hostess was very cordial and accommodating and we had no problem sitting in the bar area. The only problem we had is that it took quite some time for the bartender to actually come and take a drink order. We were the only ones in the sitting area, and there were three people at the bar. No problem, she eventually took our order. It happens. But within the hour when the sitting area was filled, I heard complaint after complaint of the patrons on either side of us trying to get her attention as they have been waiting for over 15 minutes and still hadn't been approached for a drink order. By this time, it had grown quite loud, which generally isn't a problem for me, but it was the choice of music they played I really don't feel hard/classic rock is fitting for the type of restaurant & it's clientele. Then comes the food. We just ordered a few appetizers, and the octopus was exquisite as always! But although the mussels were lovely and meaty, there was minimal flavor to them. A bit disappointing. Perhaps a bit of acid or something to make the broth a bit more flavorful. But the kicker to my whole experience is when we went to pay the bill, and it was told to us that it was cash only. There was no notice on the door, no notice on the hostess stand, no mention of it by the hostess nor the bartender/server, and not a mention of it on the menu as well. It was a bit shocking and embarrassing when I went to pay with a card. Perhaps if I was aware of their policy beforehand, I could have brushed off the service & food, & it would have been a better experience.

So disappointed! Right in our hometown but treated terribly. We had reservations for 6 and waited for almost 40 mins while they sat parties of 5 ahead of us two different times. When asked about it, the hostess rudely stated that her job was only to seat people and we were a large party. This was after she rolled her eyes repeatedly. We won't be back!!

Food was very good. We went early as we were told it can get very loud. calamari appetizer was awesome! arugula salad - excellent We shared a paella And a pitcher of sangria. We decided to share the flan (as we were both stuffed - but I had to have the flan. Only downfall was that it is cash only and we were not aware of this in advance. just plan in advance next time. Won't change my rating though, as food and service was top notch.

We had a drink at the bar and Brenda made a perfect martini. Our table was ready at the time of our reservation and we loved our meal of paella and salad. It was as good as when at the Piermont location. Highly recommend!

OLAR NOSO is a fantastic place. Wonderful vibes, friendly service, great food choices. The cocktails are excellent and of course, the food is A+. My favorite dishes: Grilled Octopus Fried Calamari Paella All of the pizzas are also excellent. I want to give it 4.5 out of 5, but 5 is cool ;)

Went to Olar the other night with friends. Sat in the main dining room. The food was a 10/10 but the ambiance was a 1/10. I won't go back to this restaurant. Here's why: 1. This was the loudest restaurant I've been in where the sound didn't come from music. Using my dB meter on my phone the average sound level was a miserable 85dB. Since decibels are logarithmic this means the restaurant is TEN TIMES louder than the restaurant we went to the next night at 75dB. See pic of my dB meter reading. 2. The chairs are too low to the ground for tall people. I'm 6'0" (not a giant) and my legs and knees were bent uncomfortably. I needed to walk around after 20 minutes of sitting. 3. No credit cards allowed. They do have an ATM but the limit is $200 per transaction. I had to make two withdrawals to pay for the 4 of us. The machine fee was $3. It did an auto balance inquiry for which my bank charged $3 per inquiry and $3 for a withdrawal from another bank so I ended up having to pay $18 in bank fees to dine at Olar. See screen shot for one of the withdrawals. That pisses me off. A lot. Olar: You're pretentious, expensive, and uncomfortable. Get over yourself. Yeah. You have good food but that's not enough.

Excellent service and food/drinks! The best Paloma I've ever had. Reservations are a must especially in Saturday nights.

Delicious restaurant that has both tapas and full entrees to choose from! I had the frito misto, Serrano wrapped dates, fried goat cheese, octopus and Nutella pizza! Dates and goat cheese were amazing. Great Spanish and Portuguese wine selection. Very loud and busy establishment but overall great experience.
