The sushi was fresh the best I ever had and the rolls the biggest I've ever seen. The place is small and so deceiving since I'm from NY I found it weird to enter through the parking lot. So glad we didn't change our minds.

The shrimp tempura barely had shrimp, it was mostly breading. Overall, sushi tastes okay but you can get better with the same or less prices at other places.

i wish I could give this restaurant 10 STARS! i treated myself to sushi for dinner and GrubHub lost the order twice (the initial order and the REPLACEMENT order too). Ninja Sushi called to discuss my experience and when I mentioned it was my birthday they INSISTED on personally delivering the order themselves at no charge. i am floored by their customer service and kindness. the food was great as well. definitely a new FAVORITE of mine!

This is first time in my life I've ordered sushi with almost no fish. I've ordered for my family: sushi and sashimi regular, 2 Philadelphia rolls, shrimp tempura roll, 2 smoked salmon sushi and side of rice. Comes down to only one side rice was good the rest was extremely bad, spoiled smoked salmon and no fish and shrimp in sushi. Absolutely insane, they do 2 layers of rice for each sushi piece. About 2% of fish instead of 100%. Never again I'll order from this place.

This place is truly a hidden gem. Cozy but comfortable, I went in with a party of four, plus a baby. We received excellent service, and the knowledgeable staff were able to make recommendations for an enjoyable experience. They have really great classics like spicy tuna and California rolls, with some excellent offbeat options like their hip-hop roll. Everything was prepared skillfully and very clearly thought through. The complimentary rice porridge and probiotic yogurt in the end pushed the experience from good to GREAT! We'll definitely be visiting again!

Ninja sushi has one of the coziest, tastiest and friendliest sushi spots in nutley/ Clifton nj. Phil is so dedicated to the restaurant and his staff is very kind and accomodating that it reflects in the food and the overall feel of the place. Visit them and eat to your heart's desire! Definitely a five star experience. Parking lot behind which is a plus!!!

I feel like all the restaurants in the area serving bento boxes are similar. This one was pretty good! I ordered take out and everything came neatly packaged, nothing spilled. The dinner box came with a generous amount of food; rice, 6 piece california roll, beef and veggie mix, edamame, miso soup, green salad, and dumplings. The dumplings were my favorite, they were delicious, well seasoned in soy sauce. The beef was also pretty good, I liked the addition of veggies and it wasn't overly salty or overcooked. The miso soup, salad, rice, rolls, and edamame were basic, I feel like they're pretty standard with all bento boxes. I think this is my go to for bento boxes because everything was good. We enjoyed our meal and the food came quickly!
