So I’m sitting here wondering, just what are BALAGAN It must be in that kitchen for them to produce such a disgrace!I received my food after paying a staggering $40+ Onion rings that taste like the underside of a fryer, Stuck together by extra grime that God only knows has been on that fryer for so long, And the most atrocious Shawarma, or whatever you call the substance that I received. If I showed the Shawarma to an Israeli, I don’t even think they’d eat it in times of war. Furthermore, I wouldn’t even call it Shawarma looked more like dog food. After I made the worst decision of my life and bite in to the chicken My teeth crunched down on shards of bone. Not to mention the least of my issues I had asked for this so-called Shawarma to be outfitted with pickles, lettuce, sauces, etc. it all came melted in a slurry on the side. I fear of attaching images, They won’t do justice, and will really make one upset. I reached out to the restaurant, but it says Temporarily closed can’t say if that’s true, but they will be soon after health inspection he of this.

Best REAL Israeli restaurant in America. Guaranteed. Hole-in-the-wall, zero curb appeal, very few parking spots, and more than an hour and 15 mins drive from Fair Lawn / Teaneck (+tolls + GSP traffic) - yet, if you appreciate Israeli food, it's definitely worth it!!

Great Shawarma and baby chicken. Get them on a lafa bread! Don’t waste your time in the other menu items. These two are the winners!

Shawarma was spoiled on Saturday night couldn't get past the smell to even eat it.

First and foremost, I was expecting a nice falafel or schnitzel sandwich; what I received was absolutely horrendous. The food is below standards for this community. Honestly it was gross, literally disgusting. Secondly, the owner of the place has an extremely bad mannerisms and attitude. His personal hygiene was also questionable, creating a vile stench that you can smell coming off his person. Personal note to owner: please bathe and wear deodorant. I'll never be back.

Awesome food, always consistent. Balagan is a winner!!!
They got the entire order wrong and I ended up getting 75 bucks worth of food for 15 bucks. The shawarma came wrong, they never sent the steak sandwich or fries. They sent me 3 other items I didn’t even order or pay for. I’ve ordered here 3 times in the past and I think my order came right once.Really I’m sorry. I try to support Jewish restaurants how could you when you can’t even get the order right? I’m sorry. Hey your act together.

This place has declined. Unprofessional preparation of food, Pedro calls me Papi-very rude. I returned my falafel sandwich and they reimbursed me. They no longer have an Israeli cook who can make this cuisine properly. Much more expensive than other compatible restaurants. I will not return.

Balagan is definitely a strange place because of the staff however the food is authentic and very tasty. I agree with others about the prices but the portions are enormous and there'll be leftovers so it's still a good deal. My recommendation is to split a platter between two people because there's more than enough for both of you and try the spicy carrots, they're unreal.
