Great food and service. The portions were generous and the fish was fresh. They were very accommodating to my family and have a wonderful kid’s menu. I would like to see them replaced high tops with lower tables that are easier to pull up a high

This is the 2nd 5 star review I left. The first one was 3 years ago and nothing's changed. The food was awesome and Gabrielle was so friendly. I love that Jay actually works there and cooks the food instead of delegating it to someone who might not care as much, it makes it feel like a real small business. Beer battered shimp is my go to. ??? I hope he expands to NYC at some point ?

Great atmosphere with great food. We had the crab dip and fish taco and both were delicious. The homemade tortillas are fantastic.

Employees here are super rude. It is clear that they do not want customers. The employees were just chilling in the back and were annoyed they had to take an order. In fact he told me when he took my order that he was annoyed that someone walked in just as he sat down. I believe he was the manager. We gave a 20% tip on an order that we ordered at the counter and they refused to let us sit in the restaurant despite there being one table occupied. His reason was that it can get busy quickly. There are so many places in ocean city with friendly customer service there is no reason to come here. Save yourself a frustrating experience and try somewhere else. I am sure the employees will appreciate you not coming, because they do not want to do their jobs.

Small spot by the shops for good fried and grilled seafood. The crab cake is very tasty and the old bay scallops are soft and thick. Definitely a place I'd stop by whenever I visit. Friendly staff and fast service.

We've been passing this place up for awhile and decided today to give them a shot. We were so glad that we did! What we found was excellent seafood in a casual environment. We both started off with the crab bisque. It was loaded with chunks of crab meat, had a nice blend of veggies and spices mixed in the bisque and was covered with a generous coating of Old Bay seasoning. The soup stood out over other bisques due to the mixture. I had a mix of two entrees - the beer battered grouper and beer battered jumbo shrimp. For $26 I got 2 very large grouper filets and 6 jumbo shrimp. It also included their Old Bay fries and coleslaw. Both the shrimp and grouper were well coated with a nice seasoned mix. Both proteins were cooked correctly and were an absolute pleasure to eat. The fries can be had without the Old Bay but the seasoning brings a great compliment to the side dish. My wife had the shrimp basket and fries. She loved her platter! The kitchen is open and allows patrons to see Jay do his thing from the grill, fryer and sandwich stations. Watching him cook our food in front of us was a sight to see (especially if you have a culinary background). Between him and his staff, they ran an excellent dinner service. Our server had several tables and larger parties but managed to make sure we were good for our meal. The staff there is outstanding! If you're looking for fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere, I highly recommend Jay's!

We did a very large takeout order, and they were quick and accurate and they were very accommodating.Food traveled well and was absolutely outstanding. Standouts are the Crab Dip, Crab Cakes, and the Fish and Chips.5/5 all around.

Food Poisoning just a Seafood Wrap away! By far the WORST experience I've ever had eating anywhere I've traveled. I will try and keep it short and matter of fact. But, this is insane! We noticed our wrap being made with no gloves on. We even heard the owner, Jay tell the young man to put one on, in which he did but continued to finish out the same wrap. First issue besides the no gloves being used is the SAME WRAP and SAME BIN OF LETTUCE. While he was almost done, I got Jay's attention and explained what we saw and he was rude, indifferent and almost argumentative. He knew exactly what I was talking about and took NO accountability. His response, was that his employees wash their hands. Okay, buddy that makes no difference, when food is never to be handled without gloves. This guy shouldn't be owning a restaurant. He wasn't apologetic, accountable or understanding and stared us down when we left. His second response, was "okay fine I'll have him make a new one." This is insane to me, especially when I approached him kindly and discreetly! If I was local, I would be calling the health department on this place. Disgusting! Food Poisoning is waiting to happen here!

Nice little spot right on Asbury Avenue in the heart of downtown Ocean City. A few outdoor tables and a nice indoor area with view of the cooking and prep area.I first came here with my girlfriend on Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend. Went inside and asked if we could sit outside at a table where people had just left and were told yes. After ten minutes and no one had come to take our order, I went back inside and asked if I was meant to order at the cash register. The girl told me the cook had just left so they didn't have a cook. Confused, I asked if he would be back soon and she said she didn't know but maybe 15 minutes. So we left. Gave it another shot last night. We ordered take out this time; my girlfriend got the Asian Ahi tuna wrap ($16), I got the seafood salad wrap ($16), and my son got the Pipeline Crabby Patty from the kids menu ($12). They forgot one bag of chips from our order, but the food we got was decent and filling. Pretty sure the coleslaw was homemade. Overall not a bad spot for casual seafood, and we'll probably be back. But from my experience and reading others' reviews, these quirks seem to be the norm, and with the glut of other options on the island, we're in no rush.

The service was really good. They managed a big takeout order on a Friday night in season. Without any mistakes And the salad lettuce didn't have brown edges. All good thingsBut buyer beware, If your highlighted menu item is a crab cake and they can sell it to you for under $30. Then your getting some bad quality crab. Not rotten, just sourced from China or Vietnam. Or some other random country with low standards on how they harvest crab. There is a difference. When you have good quality crab, you need very little seasoning. Bad crab gets loaded with old bay to cover up the funk. I would gladly pay more for better quality. Especially while on vacation. But that's me.
