We came down on the off season and most places were closed, but we found this place. They had some great lunch specials which were only $10.The portions were generous and it was all really good. I had the Buffalo empanadas, which were amazing! They also served breakfast all day, which was a nice option. We’ll definitely be back.

I was staying down the street visiting family and just walked in because it was the first place I saw that looked like they served breakfast. The place was very clean and organized. The host was very congenial and invited me to sit anywhere. My server was Olivia and she was delightful. I ordered the 3 egg veggie omelet with cheese. It was done perfectly. The veggies were very fresh. The coffee was good. The service: impeccable. Olivia provided just the right amount of attention. She was accessible without "hovering". I will definitely go back again when I'm in the area. The bill didn't make me feel guilty. When I got back, I told my neice and grandneice about it and they also had a great experience. Definitely give them a try.

1ST AND LAST TIME-Black Friday we decided to goto The Cafe for breakfast ,Seated immediately as we were the 2nd table of guests (the place was empty which I was fine with) The waitress (younger thin woman, long dark hair-She was very Friendly and probably the only thing good about this visit. The food- 1st I want to point out many hands touching the toaster and bread and doing other stuff with their hands so I wasnt excited about that food handling practice (and toast is not buttered in the kitchen they give you cold/Dry toast and provide you with single serve butter packets/jelly at the table. So I got the veggie omelet (I kept on greeting Big chunks of raw green pepper *Maybe Sautee them 1st Or even cut smaller would help take away that Crunchy Raw veggie mouthfeel among Warm egg) I got maybe 4 bites in and got to all of this Slimy Raw egg I was instantly Turned off and it was forks down 4 me.. My husband got the Sausage gravy & Biscuits (but no biscuits avbl so he opted for putting it over homefries. Its sliced sausage (coined) cooked sausage *not crumbled* the Gravy had Zero flavor (use crumbled sausage and add the drippings to your gravy) so that was taken off the bill as he took 3 bites(we are not the people to send food back or have it remade as I dont trust anyone when you complain about their 1st round of food)The building- dirty window sills,(fans were off) You could see a thick layer of dust on the ceiling fan blades, dirty windows we sat inside next to the 3 windows) I almost left my business card,Maybe they just need a good cleaning company.? ??‍♀️IDK I was Very disappointed and unfortunately we wont be back (not that they care but it is what it is)

When we walked in, it was a nice vibe, cool menu, freshly squeezed orange juice. Easy prices. But cold inside. I do not want to yelp these people. We actually talked about that one South Park episode. The toast was barely toast. It was warm. The bacon was black. Seriously! She said there was no sourdough toast and only rye My girlfriend ordered the classic and received rye toast (bread). The crumb cake "straight from the oven to the grill" was super weird. The crumb part and the cake part were CLEARLY separate refrigerated pieces that were BOTH blackened on the bottom during the reheat process and then put back together. Super weird. Cold on the top and inside but burnt under the crumb? How do you do that? It's supposed to be one piece like a cupcake. No one separates the crumb and heats it, let alone to the point of burning. If you mess up a food, don't serve it! Throw it out! The server was nice and they serve fresh orange juice. Which I will return for. But she made several mistakes. I ordered the classic breakfast with pork roll instead of home fries and she brought it with the homefries too. But without the toast (bread) it came with. I asked her for the toast it came with a she quickly came out with sourdough toast that was 1/5 the size of ordinary toast and small slices of rectangular bread underneath. The fries with sausage gravy... that's not sausage gravy. That's white cornstarchy, watery, cream stuf. My girlfriend accepted it, but I think she is more accepting. I think you should always tip your server because I was a server, but she did not deserve 20% that I gave her unless she was new, because in a way, new servers, who don't use notepads and accept minuscule end cuttings of bread as toast deserve both correction and tips because they are learning. But that was really weird for me! It's not a big deal I know, just ask for bigger toast. But my gf had normal sized toast. And it was clearly the end cuttings of bread. The only reason we asked for boxes was to feed the birds with our leftovers. I should have taken pictures but I didn't want to make the server nervous. Please care about the food.

The portions are huge but the food was bland.I felt like this place was compensating, exchanging flavor for volume. The coffee is very good and the service was very attentive.Likely won't be back.

Watched a customer with a guide dog be told his dog wasn't allowed to eat inside the restaurant. The waitress was very nice and helped him find a table outside in the shade. Despite being friendly to the customer this is against New Jersey's ADA guidelines. Please educate your employees on inclusiveness to individuals with disabilities.

Our table had the Huevos Rancheros, cyo omelet, cyo sammy and breakfast quesadilla. Everything was fresh, expertly prepared and served piping hot. Our server Marley was super attentive but also very kind and welcoming and made us feel like family. The locally made bread is chefs kiss. We had a tough time deciding between Dead End, Sand House, Sunrise and Dockside. Ultimately the rain pushed us to Sunrise and reminded me of the most righteous huevos rancheros I ever forgot. Thanks for the hospitality!

The menu looks great food not so good… The sausage and biscuit is made with sliced sausages who does that? My dish was described as being on a potato pancake not true it was on hashbrowns… Just not really very good food. But… for the shore the price was greatParking: It’s the shore … is what it is.

I'll start with the positive. Our server was great and very apologetic of the food she ended up serving to us. We ordered a breakfast sandwich (ham egg and cheese ) on a grilled bagel. It came out with a cold bagel and very greasy. We were told the cook said it was too busy to grill the bagel as ordered. I got a cheese omelet with white toast that was white bread. With butter on the side. It wasn't a complicated order. We hardly ate because it just wasn't good and then paid $38. We won't ever return. It's busy but you won't build a good business by not caring about your customers. The two stars are for the server.
