Anchor Inn saved my party!!!! We had a house party planned for 16 people. 1 hour before guests were supposed to arrive, our street got flooded out in Ocean Gate. We called Anchor Inn and they happily accommodated our party of 16 just 45 minutes later!! Everyone arrived at the restaurant and our party was being served efficiently. We all really enjoyed our big variety of meals such as pizzas, eggplant rollatini, ravioli, lasagna, etc. they let us bring our own birthday cake and didn’t even charge us a serving fee for it. No one does that anymore and so we wanted everyone to know how wonderful this place was for us, and how incredibly stressed out we were before they saved the day. Thank you so much Anchor Inn management, chef, and servers!!!!
Wish there was a zero star. What a horrible experience. Will not ever return for sure.The bartender at the bar literally threw the menus at us he was the nastiest server/bartender we’ve ever had. We left the bar and went to sit in main dining area.

Taste tested pizza at the Anchor Inn, a venerable bar & restaurant located in Ocean Gate. While I like the Shady Rest pizza best, the Anchor Inn pizza is a respectable second, imho. My companion & I sat near the fireplace which was warm & cozy, except when someone went through a nearby door where you could then see an outdoor door was open letting in a wayward breeze. Furniture in the dining area is old but as mentioned this is a venerable establishment. I look forward to returning and seeing what the bar experience is like...Parking: Damp weather but found a walkable space nearby.

Love this place. Especially would like to thank Tammy . She is the quickest bartender this side of the Mississippi River. She gets your food order and knows how to keep the cold brews cold- Rocky Mountain lady. National treasure she is. Wouldn’t replace her for anyone!!

Didn't eat. Just a hit & run for a beer.The place is so friendly and the bartenders outstanding.Prices are great.Highly recommend.
This was a disappointing meal with my wife and son, and it was not our first visit. I had the Seafood Milan, the shrimp and scallops were undercooked, and my wifes veal was not good at all. My son had a personal pizza. We have eaten here about 4-5 times, and what I have experienced is inconsistency with the food. What I can say is the pasta dishes are good, especially chicken parmasean.

Our pizza adventures continue and we found ourselves at the Anchor Inn a few nights ago. The place was full of families and friends enjoying a varied menu. We came for pizza but ended up ordering an appetizer and salad. Everything was very good! Service was fast and attentive. There’s an accessible entrance. Street parking was easy, but there’s also a parking lot. The place is probably a madhouse in the summer, but we had no trouble getting a table.

An absolute hidden gem ? ✨️ you will not be disappointed with anything they have on the menu. Very casual, busy, and welcoming. They do not take reservations or seat you without the entire party present. Be prepared for a wait, but well worth it ?

They make the best Long Island iced tea and their prices are fantastic. I had the boil seafood platter, and I normally don't order that but I was at a party with friends and I did order it and it was fantastic.
