First time visiting Sofia's - sat at the bar - it did not disappoint. Had a great experience dining, enjoying cocktails and celebrating my girl friends birthday tonight! Sheridan helped guide us on the menu and was so fun spirited - she also made such GREAT cocktails! I would highly recommend!

The food is good. The place is nice and cozy. But they could definitely improve couple of things. The kids food was aweful. We ordered a chicken taco and all we got was taco and chicken. No toppings. It's was so dry. When we asked for cheese and sour cream for the kids food which they couldn't have given us any more than a tablespoon and they charged us for it. The service was good. They kept checking with us. But the music is so loud we had to tall over the music to even have a conversation.

Wait time for food was way too long. The waitress ( I think her name was Cielo) was horrible, she was talking more to her co- waitresses instead of paying her attention to her tables, she seemed careless. Asked our waiter for a dessert menu and two boxes for our left over food.... 15 min later no menu, no boxes ... asked for the check and left. The food however was good. The drinks were good as well. P.S. when she brought the check, she had a nerve to tell us that tips are not included in the check, and tips are very appreciated.

Immediately loved the colorful building when we arrived. inside, the ambiance drew us in. We sat at the bar and enjoyed various Margheritas with mango, raspberry and guava juices. Did not disappoint. The bartender Sheridan was hustling and lively and friendly and made some great recommendations. The chorizo nachos and guac which were fabulous. The short rib tacos were quite literally out of this world. Would definitely return. Great experience!

APPS/ENTREES: - Complimentary chips and salsa, the salsa was fresh and delicious I would definitely ask for more - Guacamole (Sofia's secret) - It's ok, nothing special but the portion size is very small for the price you pay. - Steak Fajitas were excellent, one of the best I've had. I like that they ask you for your cooking preference (med rare) and they do a good job making the steak. It has a great, grill, charcoal flavor too. Highly recommend. Portion size is great, comes with 4 tortillas and a bunch of sides. Pair it with the different sauces they have and *chefs kiss* - Steak Chimichanga was good too. It's basically the size of a baby lol so you will likely bring it home with you. - Chicken Quesadilla was decent, but on the smaller end. Nothing out of the ordinary to call out. DESSERT: - Horchata flan was a no go for me. It has a strange almost artificial candle taste to it like you walked into a Micheal's craft store. - Chocolate Mousse Cake was decent, but a bit underwhelming. It was our waiter's favorite dessert and I thought it just tasted like a mid chocolate cake. Nothing special. However, the size of it is huge so if you're looking for something to fill you up after your entree, get this. The service was great. There were a lot of waiters and waitresses roaming around so we could always flag one of them down when we needed something. Ambiance was beautiful, they really did a good job to make it feel like an upscaled Mexican restaurant. Kudos! Overall, would recommend going here if you're looking for a nice sit down Mexican restaurant in the heart of Old Bridge.

First time here. Glad we looked past some of the Yelp reviews. Definitely can tell it used to be a diner of some sort but the update is very trendy and cool. We got the guac which was okay, but the steak tacos and steak fajita was awesome. Went on a Monday so the margaritas were buy one get one free which was awesome. Got the churro for dessert which was good, but I think the chocolate sauce would taste better warmed. The bathroom could use a little update. The toilet seat was cracked and they should definitely put hooks behind the door in the ladies room. Also a garbage by the paper towel dispenser. Otherwise very pleasantly surprised, would come back.

Having been to Sofia's in SINY I was so excited to see one so close to home. Similar atmosphere, fun and festive. Service was OK, but left something to be desired as it was not particularly busy. Drinks are flavorful and strong. Love the HH menu--fish tacos for the win (I tried 'em all).

Had a Saturday brunch with mom and there wasn't any wait time, which was fabulous. Wide variety of food here, with the different sauces and salsa/dip. Beautiful vibes with all the colors! Menu items on the pricier side compared to some other restaurants although you are paying for the atmosphere.
