Your Busted!!!

Mid-size parking lot, indoor seating with about 6 tables, some fit 4, and some 6. First come, first serve. Mini mart for shopping local ingredients. The lumpia shanghai was good too bad they did not supply us with the red sweet and Sour dipping sauce like all other places I visited.

They're in the same shopping center but moved to the other side to a much larger space with several tables for dining in. Every once in a while, I have a hankering for comforting food. I find Filipino food to be comforting and homey. I enjoy the food here and you can't beat the combo price for $9 which comes with either rice or noodles and two sides. I usually get 2 combo boxes because I can never just have 2 items. Today, I got the goat stew, beef stew, pork stew, and pork dinuguan. Pork dinuguan is made with blood as the base sauce. It may sound gross to some but I am telling you, it doesnt taste like blood. It tastes like a delicious rich sauce. You have to try it and decide for yourself. This is one of my favs. I also love the binagoogan dish but they didnt have that today. That dish is made of pork, eggplant and shrimp paste which gives it a deep umami flavor and slightly fishy. It is definitely an acquired taste and I grew up eating foods cooked in shrimp paste so I personally love it. Goes great with white rice or garlic rice.Im happy to see them expand to a larger space which means business is prob good. Good for them. They deserve all good things as their food and delish.

Tropical Hut Catering Filipino food and groceries 3366 US Hwy 9, Old Bridge NJ 08857 ? 2022 Oct. 14 - Nice and pleasant. Good tasty food, nice people. Scored some nice dessert trays. ??? 2022 Oct. 07 - Nice and decent. Scored some nice grocery items although I feel obliged to mention that certain items like a tub of ice cream ( imported from the Philippines )?? are noticeably pricey. I bought several since I was really craving Filipino-made ice cream ? because I consider Asian-made ice cream ? superior to American-made ice cream ??. Also certain prepared foods like the beef empanada cost a little more. If you feel the foods you love are worth the extra expense, then pricey grocery items should NOT be an issue.? 2022 Sept. 30 - 5 star rating ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Nice and pleasant today. Good tasty food. Nice reliable store for prepared Filipino food and groceries. ??

Tropical Hut is my go-to for cooked Filipino food. I have been buying take-out for a few years now and have found the cooking to be solid and reliably good. I am doing this review because of a dish I have not sampled before. This was mackerel fried then stewed in coconut milk, with eggplant and bok choy. Truly delicious!

What a hidden gem I recently went to for the first time. Awesome Filipino food at great prices It has a small take out area that well taste so much better then what the store looks like. Great food but first time had stomach issues but for me it was worth it cause the food tasted great Second time no issues Terrific food great prices for what looks like a tiny store front but on the back is where they serve the awesome food
