Terrific brunch food in a homey atmosphere with spectacular service. Only dissapointment was omelet served with no toast.

The atmosphere was super nice, the cocktails were good, but my husband ordered a hamburger and it was very bad, it tasted like Mac Donald's but very expensive for the quality of the meat, I ordered some ribs and they were good but for a lower price I have eaten better than this place

Had 6:45p reservation. After 15 minutes of waiting finally acknowledged by a server. Otherwise food was delicious. Spicey rigatoni, chilean sea bass, prime skirt steak, truffle fries, calamari and burrata were all delicious. Parking not enough. Thank goodness able to park by another business since they were closed on Sundays.Parking: See other comment

I took 3 young adult family members to dinner this evening and it was their first time in the restaurant. They LOVED the atmosphere! Taylor was our waitress and her service throughout our stay was excellent and exceeded expectations. We ordered appetizers, Burrata and also Truffle Fries-BOTH outstanding! Our entrees were equally delicious and thanks to Taylor’s suggestion, we kept the truffle fries on the table during dinner—and we continued to “pick”! Water service throughout dinner was constant-our glasses were always full.We were so full we couldn’t even think of dessert.I was very pleased overall this evening. I wrote a note on the check to compliment Taylor and I hope management acknowledged her outstanding service to my guests.

Please turn the lights down and add salt to the food. We ordered the Caesar salad, spinach dip, hot honey pizza, the burger, the short ribs, the cheesecake and the brownie. The hot honey pizza and burger were great. Everything else was a bit bland. The short rib was dry/overcooked. The Brussels sprouts that came alongside this short rib were undercooked. The menu - options and appearance-wise - is trying so hard to mimic Houston’s - doesn’t even come close. The cocktails were great though! I love a well done Manhattan and this place delivered. The ginger lychee martini was also tasty. My friend’s tequila soda was all tequila and maybe a splash of soda. Overall a nice experience and a beautiful update to the old Charlie Brown’s. I didn’t care too much for the fake snake plant behind me but the photos on the walls were pretty cool (RIP Anthony Bourdain). I might come back but only if I can’t get a reservation at Houston’s. Also for a Friday night, the place was a tomb by 930.

The food is always excellent. Noise level amplifies quickly. The service is wonderful. Personable, bright servers who are attentive. Parking has always been a challenge at this location. Overall, great evening.

Overpriced. Wings were good. My 2 sons and I ordered the ribeye medium-rare and they were very rare. At this price point that's very disappointing.

Food is excellent, service is excellent, the only possible criticism is it's loud af in there. If you're looking for a quiet dinner, this isn't the place but if you're ok with the noise I can't say enough good things about the quality of food or the top notch service.

Who said there aren't any great, trendy, intimate restaurants in Bergen County with great food????? The Oak House lived up to ALLLL of my expectations when we went out for my wife's birthday dinner recently. We dropped in on a Thursday evening at around 6pm and, at first it was relatively quiet, but boy did it get busy fast. For a Thursday evening the restaurant was bustling with all types of parties - families, friends, date night goers - it really was a restaurant for all occasions. The restaurant was relatively lively, but not loud at all. Also, the decor and setting was cozy, but casual and not overly romantic where you couldn't just come here for a night out with friends. Prior to arriving, I had already done my research as their menu was readily available on their website and we wasted absolutely no time and ordered the following: Crab Cake Crispy Chicken Parm Hot Honey Pizza Rib Eye Steak with Truffle Fries Sauteed Spinach Grilled Asparagus Brussels Sprouts w/ Bacon Let me just sum it all up. It was ALL...and I seriously mean ALL...delicious! Not a single complaint about any of the dishes we ordered. The chicken parm was massive, but fantastic. If you love roni cups, then you'll love the Hot Honey Pizza - which had a slight kick to it. Crab Cake - seriously, who doesn't love that? The Rib Eye Steak - cooked to perfection. The spinach, asparagus and brussels sprouts sides - even your kids will like it. That's how good it was. We really, really enjoyed the food here and loved the atmosphere. I can totally see us coming back one day or bringing friends/family. The only downside to the evening was the blah service from our waiter. He never came back to see how we were doing and just seemed like he wasn't all that into serving us, but he wasn't outwardly rude or anything like that. Let's just say a bit more enthusiasm would have been nice. Other than that, the evening and, more importantly, the food was perfect.

Had dinner here tonight to celebrate my close friend's birthday. We got a table for 3 at 8pm. Food was decent hence the 3 stars but the service was terrible. Our server Bill was not attentive to our table at all. I had to ask him to refill our waters and ask for basic condiments (ketchup) for the truffle fries. We had to wait 40mins in between our appetizers to get our main entrees. When we asked our server at the 40min mark, he said they were working on our orders. Meanwhile, a table next to us was a party of 6 or 7 girls that arrived after us got all their orders before we got our main entrees. The restaurant wasn't even packed when we were waiting for our main course. Not sure if they forgot to put in our orders or if it was a race discrimination issue but for a restaurant that's fairly new, they need to work on their customer service. We ordered multiple cocktails/wine - grilled octopus - hot honey pizza - spicy rigatoni - ribeye steak w truffle fries ($3 extra) - tiramisu
