I ate at their Newark airport (EWR) location. Best damn value in the airport. Great taste, good portion size, and nice staff (especially for an airport). If you find yourself I terminal A, or have a longer layover, make your way to gate A16 and see these fine folks. Add a Corona for $7 (April 2024). Again, for EWR, a great value. Cheers Carlitos!

Delicious Mexican-BBQ flare. Brisket tacos are my go-to. Friendly staff. Too bad their Lyndhurst shop is closed as of this time. But this Carlitos is just as good and—especially considering the mall location—with surprisingly good atmosphere and plenty of seating in the vicinity.

They are just so special‐ I love the fish tacos and fish quesatacos so much I order them at least once a week.The mexican corn is AMAZING, with a touch of spice and cheese. YUMMMMMMSo convenient on Doordash or Uber eats too!

I had a large catering order for work for about 50 people, and have never had rave reviews like I did today. Martin was wonderful to work with and delivery was prompt and great. People keep coming by my office to tell me how delicious everything is.The street corn, brisket tacos, guac, and fish tacos were all favorites of mine. Seriously a local gem, thanks again!

Way overrated.The presentation is beautiful, though the tacos are subpar. We had 9 tacos, and across the board the pork was cold, the carne asada was dry, and all the proteins lacked salt.The unsung hero is the vegetarian taco. Thanks to the natural flavor of the sweet plantain, it's the best, by far.On a last note, the music is so loud in the order area, that it's hard to order and confirm the order. We had several mistakes that could've been avoided had I shouted louder and been heard.I've tried it twice, but won't be back again.Vegetarian options: Minor options, though it's the best taco offered.

The brisket that they pride themselves in, was dry and tastless, with zero flavor, the rice was aweful I couldn’t take another bite. The brisket bowl tasted like it came out of shoe, just all around horrible. Would not recommend quite

The reason why I'm giving Carlitos Barbecue Taqueria 1 star review because the male chashier at the register was rude. I was waiting in the to order my food when he called the lady who was behind me first, tha was totally wrong. He also made a comment to them letting them know that he wanted to take their order first than me because they were there first which wasn't true.
