this was my first time trying charley's cheesesteaks. I just got the regular cheesesteak combo with the fries and drink. the sandwich was pretty good, i liked it. the fries were great, big and crispy real potato cuts with the skins still attached which adds even more flavor. the service was not friendly at all, the young girl at the front didn't seem happy to be there. although i enjoyed the food, the price was outrageous. $15.75 was my total for a watered down soda, a small serving of french fries and a medium sized sandwich. i probably wont be back because of the price.

Extremely rude staff. I placed an online order for pick up food that was ready at 5:51pm and when I went to pick up the food the employees told me they closed at 5. Google and Charlie’s website states they close at 6pm. I asked regarding a refund as my card was charged and they refused to help me.Update: I sent a message to their feedback email address and haven’t heard back. It’s been two days and I haven’t received any response regarding a refund.

Where do I start. They are making your food right in front of you so you would think they would do a better job and y is the grill scrapper sitting on the garbage can? I want to call the health inspector if I'm being completely honest. Never again.

I really hate ending my 2023 reviews with one this negative but it's my responsibility to keep it real. My wife talked me into going to Garden State Plaza this morning and after a morning of shopping, I just had to try Charleys after hearing so much about it. As we approached the counter, we were told that they were out of steak. So out of the gate, a Cheesesteak establishment is out of steaks, during peak season, within 15 minutes of opening. Now, I'm not opposed to a good chicken Cheesesteak, so that's what myself and my wife went with. The classic chicken Philly Cheesesteak with the deluxe fries. We ate at a table in the food court and enjoyed people watching as we ate lunch. This may have been the highlight of our lunch. The size of the sandwich was adequate. The flavor was unacceptable. The chicken was completely flavorless. They advertise there was mayo on it but I found it to be very dry. The fries were ok but one needs to remember that I had them after finishing my underwhelming sandwich. There are plenty of options in that area. I have to unfortunately recommend skipping this establishment. I was full but completely unsatisfied, if that makes any sense.
