A hole in the wall korean eatery, but wow! The food is amazing. No. 29, homes style ramen, spicy version, has very unique smokey taste. Caught me off guard but my taste buds were very delighted! The kimchi has a different taste to it, to me it's the best kimchi I ever tasted. To me everything seems so traditional, my palette is very happy. Highly recommended. I will return to this establishment as my go to for korean food.

Definitely the best dubu in the area. You'll notice all the other Korean restaurants in the area went out of business. This is because Hwang Bu Ja has defeated them in the free market.

I have visited this restaurant for the first time this month (Sep 2020). I got the menu from the person whom I believe runs this place. We were the only customer in the restaurant (there were no customers waiting in the parking lot as well).Less than a minute after he gave us the menu paper, This person rushed us to make an order, we asked him to give us a minute but he kept rushing. Even while saying the order he kept asking yes next, next then.. and so on!It was annoying! Finally he said that he’ll get the order to parking lot in 15 mins. We waited outside for 25 mins, finally we got the order.Food taste was good. We got a soup and noodles, it tasted good and the quantity was very good. Price was costly.

A top spot for Korean food. Great location to chill, eat some good food. The prices are well within reason for the quality. Food is similar to a place in San Francisco I liked.

I love this place. Nice little mom and pop shop. Delicious homemade food prepared fresh. Can’t beat it.

This place has always been one of the best family owned Korean spots in the area. The couple is very friendly, and the food is still great during covid. The tofu soup and meat plates are the family favorites. It's nice to pick up some home-cooked dishes for variety while also supporting the local community.

One of my favorite Korean restaurants in the area. Whenever I'm feeling Korean, this is the spot I think of. Staff is quick at taking down your order, bringing out the side dishes, and cooking your order. Menu offers enough variety and options you typicaly won't see at other Korean tofu soup restaurants. There are the usual fixings of tofu soup varieties, seafood pancake, and japchae. But in addition to that, they offer some Korean-Chinese food like jjampong and jajjangmyun. since it was a bit chilly that day, wanted something warmer and always down for spicy food. Got in, was seated, and had our order taken in 5 minutes. The side dishes came out, 3 dishes of kimchi, pickled cucumbers and bean sprouts. Had the jjampong (seafood noodles) (spicy), beef tofu soup (very spicy), and bbudaejjigae (army stew) (spicy). All were made really well and we left having our fill.
