Lots of signature dishes out of stock on a Friday evening (5pm) like pancet and chicken adobo. The other dishes were fine but a little pricey considering the simplicity like white rice and fried fish. Service was quick.

Went there bc a Filipino friend of my son recommended it, so I knew it had to be good. I was amazed at the taste of the food and how low priced it was. 8 out of 10.

Good filipino food in Parsippany area. Traditional food and always alot of Filipinos there, that's how you know it's legit. Combo is also the best deal, rice/pancit with two entrees and a drink, best deal in town.

I’ve been wanting to try the Tropical Hut for months. Finally stopped in today. They have a nice variety of dishes to choose from. I had a beef dish with rice and vegetables that was delicious. My friend had a chicken dish that she enjoyed. We also ordered 4 chicken empanadas to take home. Total bill was about $32.00. When leaving I asked the owner for a bag for leftovers. The owner said the bag was 50 cents. I think after spending $32.00 he could have given me a bag for free. I told him to keep the bag. Such a poor business practice ,for this reason I will not go back or recommend them.

Just finished eating here for lunch. First time, now forever fan! Selections are authentically varied with pinoy portions! They offer taste testing too. Bonus: housemade dessert/pastries. Halo halo though is only available once tropical weather;)

3.8 stars Came here to have filipino food, so ordered combo $10, that comes with rice and 2 entrees. It was Friday evening maybe half hour before closing, and they didn't have much options unfortunately. I took dinuguan (pork in pork blood stew) and another pork dish that has orange stew but forgot the name. The rice was dry, and the core of the meats were surprisingly cold, so I think the fire was already off by the time we arrived (which i'm unsure of how safe food is when sold like this). The taste of the dinuguan was good, the pork was soft and not too fat or oily, the other orange stewed pork i ate was the star of the show! I loved it so much that kicking myself for not listening to what the lady said it was. I have uploaded a photo if anyone can tell me so I can order it again. Maybe it was their pork kare kare or afritada, but didn't have peas so don't think it's that. We also had halo halo $8. It definitely isn't an $8 looking halo-halo. It was in a small clear water plastic cup. There were clear long strings on my spoon which i'm not sure what it was, but the taste was fine. It does have small white ice scream on top, and on the bottom has ube jam, small piece of leche flan, the jellies, tiny amount coconut, and rest the ice and bean concoction. The grocery items were not too many options, some were higher than usual. I was particularly disappointed in the chicharron brand they sell that advertised as "may laman"... it doesn't have fat or meat at all and it costed us $8! Will be back to try more foods!

The food is ok. I had expected more from this place. I was really looking forward to trying this place. Ever have that craving that you go out of your way for only to be disappointed? I felt that way when I ordered the kare late only to get pork instead of oxtail. I also ordered the daing bangus and the caldereta which were bland. Considering what I paid for, I would have spent less having made these dishes myself.
