Dinner report from Nov 25th. After turkey on Thanksgiving, we needed an Italian meal for our family of four and Vitale's delivered. Serving dinner on the weekend, the deli is transformed into a trattoria courtesy of black linen tablecloths and black screens which hide the refrigerated deli cases from view. The "Spiedini" is a must order from the list of starters. The specials are super - we quite enjoyed chicken and veal dishes - but the fish and shellfish are where the restaurant shines. On this night the lobster ravioli were served with the both shrimp and scallops. The service is both friendly and efficient. Water glasses are kept filled and BYO wine is opened promptly. We will return to this gem of a restaurant!

Vitale's food in general including the subs is excellent. I've been there many times for subs. You can order a 1/2 and still have 1/4 left for later. Very large portions and quality. I've previously had the eggplant rollatini which my mother and I both loved. I will continue to come here even though I'm no longer in town.

Meh, was very excited for authentic but my sandwich was dry and unimpressive. They took sun dried tomatoes out of a 10 gallon jar and they tasted bad.
