Great take out spot, I lived in NYC for a couple of years and this is still my favorite American-Chinese restaurant.

hard to find a good american-chinese restaurant that isn’t over priced and tastes bad. first time ordering from Cheng’s and won’t be my last! got the chicken fried rice, perfect amount of chicken, not so much that it’s just straight chicken ??. also the sweet and sour chicken with the sauce on the side, the chicken is super tender! also the breading is nice and crispy and light, not too doughy. the broccoli garlic is classic, not too spicy but still flavorful. we placed a pick up order through the phone and the woman who took our order was very nice and easy to understand. we received everything in our order and it was hot and fresh. if you’re new to the princeton area and want classic comfort chinese food, skip tiger noodles and order from Cheng’s Kitchen????

I took out for the first time in a year and the dumplings are different and the food was terrible. I was so surprised because it’s always been delicious.

I guess it's Chen's Kitchen now? That's what the newest menu said (see pics). Anyways, the steamed spicy wontons are amazing ?. The hot & sour soup and Hunan Chicken were about the same as everyone else. The Szechuan Chicken was packed full of cabbage? and also very very boring. It's OK for a neighborhood "Chinese" food place, but I'm not going out of my way to stop here. Service was A+, the atmosphere was like a terrible hotel lobby.

A satisfying joint for hot and tasty Chinese food, with excellent bean curd and vegetables, yummy vegetable lo mein, and generous chicken with broccoli. Down to earth dining area and kind service. Entrees served to go; get comfy and enjoy an authentic Jersey roadside experience. Quality egg rolls.Vegetarian options: Vegetable lo mein is a hit

If I could give a zero for service I would. Probably the worst Chinese spot in all of Nj. They don’t even give a fork or napkin with their food: I walked all the way back and the child at the front; mind you child: this person got to be like 12 years old goes well you didn’t ask for one. Like what kind of service is that. Also the prices are a rip off the combo doesn’t even come all the way full it’s 80% rice and 20% chicken for $15

This is a very unfortunate review. I was a loyal customer for years. The food was great. The family that owned it was great. Recently it changed owners and has gone downhill Instead of the delicious dumplings, there are now pre-packaged pot stickers. The packaging that the food comes in is now similar to what you'd find at a cafeteria. And the food has really gone downhill. Very sad. Not sure why the new owners changed what wasn't broke. Not going back anymore until this place resumes the quality it had for the past 30 years.

New owners from North Jersey took over business November and just started serving to our community. Everything was delicious and looking forward to trying other dishes .

While waiting to pick up the order, a customer ahead of us said the restaurant had just come under new management, and he was skeptical. We left the restaurant wondering how good the food would be. Well let me say, it was fantastic. Some of the best egg drop soup I’ve ever had. The General Tso’s chicken was great too. We look forward to returning!

Did a takeout of some standards -- sesame noodles, orange chicken, moo shu pork, egg roll. Points for using good chicken. Otherwise, preparation was poor. Noodles far too starchy and virtually no add-ins. MSP was tasteless. Pancakes accompanying were okay. Orange chicken was barely spicy. I will not be back.
