Defying Gravitea is a cute spot for breakfast, coffee/tea, or some little sweets. My mom and I stopped in early one morning and the owner Gina was super friendly and welcoming. The menu is entirely gluten/dairy free and as someone who is not gluten or dairy free, I believe the food was just as tasty, if not better! I had a pot of Rise + Glow tea and French toast. Will definitely be back!

Great brunch spot with great coffees. I love the large drip coffee 1 the mug it comes in is so gratifying. Gluten free fans will love this place - gluten free doesn't equate to any sacrifices here. The menu is tasty and the sweets are yummy. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed. The owner Gina is super friendly and accommodating. Great spot and glad to see patrons each time i attend.

This place was even better than I had hoped! I had the vegan banana bread and my friend had egg and cheese on a brioche roll with chicken sausage ( which I also sampled) both were fantastic!!! My friend's exact words " this is the best food I've ever had in my life" I can't wait to go back to try some of the lunch options. Servers were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere cozy.

This place has the absolute best baked goods I've had in years. I've been celiac for ~4 years now, and I've tried many gluten free bakeries since then. Anyone who eats strictly GF knows a huge issue with baked goods is the dry, crumbly texture. I genuinely just accepted I would never have good cake again, but I came here randomly one day and had a chocolate cupcake that was so good, I would have had no idea it was GF (and I always hate when people say that because it's usually untrue). I even double checked with the kid at the register. Since then I've had the lemon bars, scones, brownies, cookies, and more. The best thing I ever had here was a red velvet muffin (and I'm not even a red velvet person) - super moist and delicious. The people who work here are always extremely friendly and helpful, and I super appreciate that they take allergies very seriously and have things labeled. My non-celiac spouse has really enjoyed the food too. I dont live super close but I try to make it here at least once a week as a treat for myself!Dietary restrictions: Fully gluten free facility

Can’t say enough good things about this restaurant/cafe! Amazing gluten free and vegan options that are very tasty (even for non-gf/df eaters) and always sit well with my (very sensitive) celiac tummy. Love the cozy vibe and everyone has been very kind and inviting every time I’ve visited. I think about their birthday cake cookies and ab&j sandwich at least once a day! So glad to have a modern, local spot everyone can enjoy.

Wonderful little spot with quality food and tea options. An array of teas, and coffee options as well, with seasonal selections as well. The brunch was on the pricier side, but you get a good portion of really delicious items to make it worth it.

Went here for brunch a month ago and everything was so good! I had the French toast and my boyfriend had the crepes and we were so impressed. We got a bunch of baked goods to go and the owner was super helpful with suggestions. Went again yesterday and got a pumpkin Whoopie pie which was also delicious! Can’t wait to come back!

So grateful to have a gluten free cafe open up in this area!PROS:- their chicken salad and brioche is SO good!- the staff is very friendly and the owner is nice- their desserts are delicious, especially;? lemon loaf? chocolate cookies chocolate muffins & cupcakes- They also have an open mic which gets a good turn out. A really nice way to bring the community together.—-CONS:- the decor is.. strange. Feels like a bunch of random finds from Marshalls. The space is big. Would have been beautiful to get a professional designer.- the coffee and tea are really bad.I’ve tried ordering different drinks each time but they’re always watery and not blended well. Such a bummer cause it would be great to have a place in the area that can make a delicious latte or even a chai.Until then, will have to travel to Jackie Smalls or Boonton Coffee for a good latte.—Overall, glad this place is in the neighborhood and looking forward to see how they grow.

This place is great if you are voluntarily gluten free or sensitive but as someone with celiac, I was disappointed to see that 90% of the options were made with oats or oat milk. Even though the owner uses certified gluten free oats, many celiacs can’t tolerate oats & Glutenfree Watchdog has stated that no oats are safe for celiac. The food was good but unfortunately had a reaction even eating the items that weren’t made with oats, so just be aware if you have celiac.
