State St. Diner Reviews
This is the second time eating at state street diner..first time was cod fish salad .Excellent .2nd time was today and consisted of cod fish soup, octopus salad and fried plantain...again excellent..its a typical old style diner with home style cooked Boricua foods...Andy is very pleasant and attentive, and a comedian..Xiomara, my wife, and i took the food to go and ate it at "la playita" or the little beach in perth amboy..the octopus salad is on certain days and goes fast...
True home cooked food from a completely different era. An older man and a lovely woman he's probably his wife run this place together. The food is absolutely authentic and the decor is something out of the past in a good way. There's absolutely nothing fake about this place it's completely authentic.
Been wanting to come here for a while and it was totally worth it! Nice Puerto Rican couple runs the place so they have spanish food but they also made me a breakfast platter that gave me life. 5/5 would eat again
