“I was craving a real sub. I wanted a sub shop and not a corporate type place. I enjoyed it. Everyone there was down to earth and real. I loved their banter with the music blaring from the kitchen. I love a real family place. They had all different specials hung up and even had black cherry soda and root beer in the glass bottle. “The pizza here is so freaking good and it’s not the crazy prices that most places are charging nowadays. Way better than La Madonna down the street & less expensive & the staff are WAY friendlier. I live in jersey city & work in New York and eat pizza way too much and Amano trumps 95% of places I’ve ever tried. Along with the prices and friendly staff, I would go out of my way and drive further to come here any day of the week. I got a spinach artichoke slice, a couple grandma slices, an Italian roll & a buff chicken roll and every bite of all of these were so yummy. I don’t leave reviews often but I really really really like this place. Would suggest.“

“The food here is amazing!! I have been to the Matawan location a few times now and every time I try something new and nothing is disappointing. Their chicken quesadillas are amazing their Bergers and wings are amazing!! The waiters are very friendly, the manager came by to check on us a couple of times and was very friendly and helped us with anything we needed awesome guy! The restaurant was clean and smelled amazing! The beer on draft here is also very fresh!! Would recommend to anyone great place if you're trying to catch a game and have a beer!!!!“
“I’ll be honest, I didn’t go in with high expectations because I’ve read some reviews before that were low and called the place mediocre and all I have to say is: they are wrong, this place is actually really good.The smoothies all taste amazing, the place is clean, there’s a bunch of food options, the staff is nice and overall the place looks beautiful.The fruit in our bowls were fresh as can be, the granola was good and they were big.I highly recommend the Sweet Palm Green Bowl.I will say though, the bowls are expensive. Expect to pay around 13-14 dollars per person.In total this order was 30 dollars (two bowls) which isn’t bad because it’s a voluntary choice, the quality is nice, the place is nice and so on.Give this place a try. I don’t regret trying it. It was really good.Kid-friendliness: So this place is right next to a gym and a high school so I truly expected there to be more young adults but there were actually many middle schoolers there with their parents ordering bowls. “I've been eating here since 1994 when the first location opened in Marlboro. This place taught child me what rotisserie even meant. They've done well for themselves and now have a number of locations. In a world where everything tastes manufactured they've managed to provide quality home cooked food without compromise. I’ve only visited once and tried their mixed shawarma bowl which was a mix of chicken and beef.I don’t know enough about different middle eastern cuisines to know what type of beef shawarmas are different but this type was the longer strips that were tougher.Sauces were white and a red sauce. The red sauce was not particularly spicy hot but added light flavor.The restaurant itself has a few seats and the street parking is metered.“
