Decided to give the restaurant a try and was truly under impressed. We ordered several tacos and steak and shrimp fajitas. The tacos were greasy and lacking flavor. The steak from the fajita was shredded and not a great consistency and lacking flavor. Even the shells for the fajita were greasy. The highlight was the guacamole and chips.

Great food, awesome service. The homemade drinks were delicious. Also opening in Westfield soon.

The only place in NJ that serves Authentic Mexican Food. Currently located in Plainfield and a new location coming up in Westfield, NJ. I can't wait for Westfield to open. My experience at Plainfield has been nothing less than amazing. The food is authentic and prepared fresh. They have a nice dining area and are a byob. Plenty of street parking available.

The people are nice, the food is good and it's nice and clean. We had the chicken & beef birria tacos. I would ask for raw onion next time but outside of that it was good.

We ordered last night around 7:52p with high expectations and we're extremely disappointed. My husband rated his chicken birria experience as 3, I rated my carne asada experience as a 1 therefore I give La Bendita a 2 star. We also ordered chicken tenders and tacos for the kids, but they fell asleep before they could eat it so I can not review these items. The food arrived to our home at 9pm, an hour wait for a place that's less than 15 minutes away was unusual but maybe they were busy. The birra tacos itself while the chicken was tender, it was not well seasoned. The consume did not lend much help, literally it didn't taste like anything. The carne asada had the same struggle- no taste but also everything was EXTREMELY dry. The black beans which should have come with the meal was no where to be found, and was a missed addition because it could have helped with flavor and moisture the rice so desperately needed. The steak itself was not salted before it was overcooked on the grill. It was a poor cut of meat and wouldn't recommend this. I ended up ripping the steak-um meat with my hands, mixing it into the dry/ hard rice, and added my own sauce for moisture so that I didn't waste my money.

Came here about a month ago with some classmates, definitely a great decision for lunch. Food: I ordered some chorizo queso dip which was to die for. The burrito that I ordered was ridiculously large and delicious. Aesthetic: very clean, simple place. One of the nicer places in the area. Service: I forget the servers name but he was super nice.

We stumbled across this spot because my daughter was determined to find authentic birria tacos. A quick google search turned up this cute place. She loved the tacos! It's very clean, updated, and the perfect ambiance. I've tried a few varieties of their tacos and yum! I also really like their french fries. Make sure you try the Flower de Jamaica agua fresca!!!

Came in on a Saturday night and was seated very quickly. Our server Matt was very friendly and told us about the restaurant specials. We ended up ordered 2 empeñadas chicken mole and birria tacos, while waiting for the food we were given some chips and salsa. All the food was good and we also had 2 of the drinks and they were very good. I would definitely come back to explore more of the menu.

We placed the ordered at 8:17 p.m and was suppose to be ready by 8:47 p.m. When we got there at 9 p.m. we we're told it was going to take 10mins more. We ordered Choriqueso w/ Chips, Single Tacos w/ Cheese and shrimp, Bendita Birria w/ Cheese and Chicken, Big Quesadilla Con Carne with chicken, Empanadas De Camarón, and Empanadas De Carne Tinga. They only had 2 tables and it didn't look busy but didn't know why it takes almost an hour for the food. Moving on to the taste of the food. The cheese from the choriqueso is hard. They put the empanadas with lettuce and it was all soggy. I took it out immediately from the container to salvage it. The bendita birria is soaked in oil and salty. The single taco with shrimp is also salty. My husband says the quesadilla taste like chicken with cheese. Also, they charge you .50 for each sauce (sour cream, salsa verde, etc). Overall experience and food is ok.

Amazing food and incredibly friendly staff! The best Mexican food I have had in a long time. The menu has a wide variety of choices, you are sure to find something you like! I loved the homemade juices that were served, it was unique. So excited for the Westfield location to open. Best of luck and cannot wait to come back!!

Had a really nice time here. Warm welcome and attentive service, We were offered samples of the juices, so good. The chips and salsas (3 different kinds) and guacamole were excellent . Our main courses- tacos, fajitas, and enchiladas were delicious. Prices are also reasonable.
